...and Mowbray sacked by Sunderland.

Bar Mark Robins, there isn't a manager in this league who has been at their club for two years.

I think Robins might get sacked soon too.

It's been reported by our local journalist that barring any last minute hitches, Leam Richardson will be taking the manager's job.
So far its been Warburton, Rowett and latterly Nathan Jones has turned us down, no surprise given our apparently hopeless state, plus some far better paid jobs becoming available.

Obviously some Rotherham fans who can't can't accept that the club is run sustainably so won't pay inflated wages are in uproar that we can't attract such highly regarded professionals.

Meanwhile the rest of us will wish Leam well and hope he can improve us enough to stay up or at least gets us up towards the top of the league next season.

Unsurprisingly Alex Neil sacked by Stoke.

Bit like with us Stoke have a few ex managers dotted around !

A poisoned chalice.

Will he go back to Sunderland?

It’s the constantly repeated cycle with them. They’ll appoint someone like Eustace who on paper will look good. They’ll have a decent run at the start with him and have them planning the open top bus. Stoke then revert to type and they start calling for his head and will be sacked. In a years time they’ll begin the cycle again.

Finally confirmed with a contract to the summer of 2026.
Good luck to him for being brave enough to have a go.

Sensible appointment for me, he did well at Wigan and think they jumped the gun sacking him after a bad run.

The Wayne Rooney experiment has come to an end now ..

Will Birmingham go back for John Eustace ?!

He's still very unproven for me, only a 33% win rate in his 60+ games at Birmingham. Hopefully he's crap as it would be hilarious to see Blackburn drop. They'll struggle to come back this time.

Michael Beale sacked by Sunderland after 12 games.

Replaced a popular manager and never got the support of the fans it seems.

And now the board I guess.

Lowe the second longest serving manager in this league, been here for about 2 years and 3 months.

Fickle football fan post:

Lowe has bounced back impressively after our shocking run. Many of the changes he's made are obvious ones, but at least he's made them. The return of Riis and building the team around Frojkaer has turned us into a different beast.

The main thing you have to credit him for is that he's addressed his failings, shown he's not stubborn, and adapted after a bad run. Maybe even listened to his players and coaches more, and acted accordingly.

That's arguably the most important trait of a manager rather than being a tactical genius or coaching guru.

He deserved his criticism but it looks like he's grown from it. I wanted him out as much as anyone and he's shut me up.

Unless someone is crazy enough to take him off our ends, it seems certain that we'll be heading into next season with Lowe in charge and that's really fucking depressing. I can see our season ticket sales dropping off this year.

For a moment he looked like he'd learned from his mistakes, only to collapse and fall back into them. Losing 5 in a row without scoring to fall out of the playoff picture is unacceptable. But not for our dull owners and 'advisor'.

Rosenior surprisingly sacked by Hull. Cardiff considering letting Bulut go, and Sunderland still looking for a permanent manager. Plymouth still without a manager too.

I'd guess Farke and Martin will be sacked if either fail to go up too.

Wayne Rooney in the frame for the Argyle job, apparently. I’d be amazed if they were that stupid but I’d be right behind it :bg:

I’m surprised the “yes” vote is trending over 20% on their forum - but it still seems like any such appointment would go down like a cup of cold sick with most, and who can blame them?

Seems crazy to me. Wasn’t he carried by Rosenior at Derby and then presided over a massive shambles at Birmingham City, who I actually think had a reasonable looking squad last season. Thought Plymouth were a sensible club but that seems highly suspect to me.

Having gone the inexperienced but promising route with Foster and had it not work I thought they would go for someone with a bit of Chanpionship experience. Some alright managers out there at the moment in that sort of bracket - Heckingbottom, Alex Neal, the aforementioned Rosenior or Rowett if he doesn’t get the Birmingham City job.

Danny Rohl signs a new 3 year deal. Probably less of a buy out clause - his previous one was £5m plus another £5m for his back room staff

We won’t make a better signing all summer

That's utter pony from Plymouth and way to declare yourselves as favourites for relegation next season before this one has even finished! How on earth has Rooney wangled that one!?

But as well we're getting new investment from a Dutch group in America soon so that could work out well.

If the investment from the Dutch group is right, I wonder if they've said that they want a 'big name' in charge down there.

It'll go down like a girl on Union Street with Argyle fans, but hilarious for us up the road.
