Watched the game, decently entertaining - from what i saw of league 2 last season both sides should be looking for the playoffs.

Thought county shaded the first, chesterfield the 2nd, cook proactive maynard reactive.

Would say at 1-1 county looked more likely to go infront, the chesterfield goal was close on offside.

From what i saw i’d suggest county are slightly better quality wise with poorer manager, with chesterfield not far behind with a much better manager - i’d go for cook everyday.

Fair point for both sides

Not a bad game so far, Salford playing the pressing game well and not allowing us much time on the ball. More goals in this yet.

Overall not too displeased with that half. MK had the better of it with possession and territory but only really had one time they worked Ripley. Other than that we’ve grown as an attacking force the last 10 minutes.

Feel Curtis is trying too hard maybe at the moment as he’s had a bit of stick from the home fans for his AFC connections.

Fairly meh game this one, MK had two ruled out. The handball looked spot on but didn’t show much on the TV to see if the offside was or not.

We’ve grown into it and should really have done better when Curtis went clean through and Tolaj had to either pass to Stockley to slot home or have a go himself and did neither.

Notts fans, fucking hilarious bunch honestly. Way they went off at FT you’d think they’d won, and now they’re all on here celebrating a famous draw down at our place (Jacobs comment on the draw being more enjoyable than a win…   ), bless em.

Listen lads, you’re just another bang average side that’s took an undeserved point home from our place, not the first (Joined our friends Salford, Cheltenham & Swindon in doing so) and definitely won’t be the last cos at the moment we love throwing away leads.

All the hype on this Crowley btw??? End product fucking hilarious, takes 30 touches every time he goes near it and then follows it up with either an over hit cross or a shot 30 yards over bar

Final thoughts, got to be some sort of record this one surely… same person MOTM for Notts 3 times in a row in a game between the same 2 sides? The man in the middle dressed in all black. FairPlay that man, outdone himself with that pen decision at the end

Yeah little bit and missing Byers a bit.

No atmosphere there is there and it really comes across on TV which probably isn’t helping. We’ve been more attacking than last week but been a bit dicey at the back.

Probably go and concede within a minute of the restart now I’ve said this but I would be looking at Chislett to come on. He is exactly the sort of player to unlock their defence.

They are dangerous and Shorrock has had a tough half early on against Nemane but have given up some really good chances to us at the back as well.

Could go either way but that blue kit and we are due one makes me think we might just be edged out.

Yeah a good end to end game so far, with better finishing we could’ve had a couple more but so could Salford to be fair, that lad on the left wing for them looks a handful and I’m a bit wary now Cass is on a yellow that he can’t risk a tackle on him.

Think Shorrock done pretty well tbh. That Nemane is clearly a good player but he definitely seems more interested in the going forward part than tracking back. There’s certainly space in behind him if we can exploit it.

I thought we dominated the ten or fifteen mins up to your goal to go 2-1 up, but after that we never looked like getting back into it and you had enough half chances to kill it probably. One good pass and we were suddenly like four on four in your box in the 95th min when you’re defending a lead though, that’s the kind of naivety that makes you remind me of, well, us.
Yea that's how I saw it, we could have settled it but didn't. Paul Cook is never going to pack the box but we look so much more organised with Dunks back there so him missing probably helped both goals against tbh. Hope it's not a bad one that

Is that keeper injured ? Thought he was superb against but he made an error in another game or something didn't he ?
Boot? I think he must be. Got dropped last game but our sub keeper Rinaldo is a young lad. Cook hinted we had a couple of injuries, Dunkley being the other

I love Naylor, and he’s a decent defender, but can’t compare in air unfortunately
It's the midfield control you miss when he plays CB too. He dictates games from midfield, in defence he's alright but you lose so much control, and Naylor/Araujo you don't have much aerial dominance. I think I'd sooner see Grimes play there in Dunkley stead tbh, leave Naylor where he is.

Thought Mandeville at RB struggled first quarter but got back into it as game went on

Yeah we had so many attacks down that side first half an hour, but it dried up after that. Dobra was surprisingly quiet, both in terms of creating stuff and just making himself the main character.

I wouldn’t call Naylor a dictator of games, that’s more Oldakers/Banks role when they play there. But what Naylor does is absolutely dominate midfield physically. He’s very good in the air for a midfielder, tackles well, fitness and energy levels means he can get box to box for 90 minutes, can pass, and has an eye for a goal (Double figures last year from CM). All of the above is why he’s one of the best midfielders in the league, and it was a big loss for us today.

Grimes isn’t good enough, same fuck up we made with retaining non-league players. If you’ve got a guy injured at centre back and you’re having to move your best midfielder out of position to cover rather than play him then what’s the point.

At least Crowley was involved in the game. Much talked about Berry was not#MIA

I'm really glad Naylor played at the back. He's a quality midfielder like you say but never going to be able to handle our Gambian Prince.

Oh and Matt Corlett is the officials name. I like him.

Yea I meant control really, he kinda dictates from a defensive view rather than possession. I just sort of go urrgggh when he see he's playing defence

Definitely miss him in midfield. I’d play Grimes with Araujo next Friday and put Naylor back in midfield

Yea it's a bit damning isn't it. We are still carrying a few contracts for NL level players and we'll be in a better position when we can fuck them off. Williams is another one, he'll not get anywhere near it.
