Cook must think Daley Campbell isn’t good enough, not heard about an injury
That would be annoying because he's just bloody signed him. A brand new right back and you'd sooner play a midfielder there, in a game you know you're going to have to do a bit of defending. I wonder if we'll hear about an injury or something, because it's crap asset management if not

At least Crowley was involved in the game. Much talked about Berry was not#MIA

I'm really glad Naylor played at the back. He's a quality midfielder like you say but never going to be able to handle our Gambian Prince.

Oh and Matt Corlett is the officials name. I like him.
I don’t think all the talking about Berry is coming from Chesterfield fans, more those Twitter statto nerds that pretend they know everything about football after looking at a few stats. So they’ll have seen Berry’s got 5 league goals and be making out he’s a world beater, which we as Chesterfield fans know he isn’t (yet).

He’s in an out of games a lot of the time, but most effective when he plays off the left as his finishing when cutting in from there is probably up there with the best in the division. He’s still young and inexperienced though and has a lot to learn at this level, he barely started for us last year a league below so that says all you need to know. Is capable of something out of nothing though (see goals vs Crewe & Doncaster) so a useful weapon to have.

He’s no Colclough yet though, as you saw - glimpse of for a short period of time when he came on. Scared the absolute life out of your right sided CB and RWB, neither got anywhere near him. There is not a single defender in this league that will be able to cope with Colclough one on one defensively when he’s fully fit and flying. We’ve missed him massively so far this year, especially at home and I’m glad he’s back.

Colclough has to be option A, bring Berry on against tired legs after 70 mins, after Colcloughs ran them ragged.

I think this is the plan once Colclough is back up to full speed as that was what we did virtually all last season until he got injured.

Thought Markanday looked good in the #10 today. But that’s also Dobra’s best position for me, so be interested to see what Cook does there and which one of them ends up on the right.

Hmmm interesting, just a week ago you said he was your player of the season alongside Oldaker. That's very impressive and surprising when he's in and out of games so much.

Yeah we had so many attacks down that side first half an hour, but it dried up after that. Dobra was surprisingly quiet, both in terms of creating stuff and just making himself the main character.
I thought Dobra was one of the better players on the pitch

I’m glad you take so much interest in my posts to remember what I wrote over a week ago, but even if someone’s been up there as one of your players of the season after 8 football games (which is when I said it as it would have been after the Doncaster game), which he obviously has been with five league goals in that time, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re one of your best or most influential players overall. I know that might be difficult for your brain to comprehend going off your previous posts.

Nothing bad but he didn’t really stand out as a danger man to me, but obviously we have memories of the NL times when he was at the centre of anything in our games.

I thought Madden was obviously your most dangerous forward while he was on and was also impressed by that Markanday. He’s the one who stood out of the three behind the forward as the clear threat - Dobra was quiet and Berry really struggled to have any impact.

Yea Berry was a bit poor. He's still a bit raw to ideally be starting game for me, but he does have a goal in him. I suspect it will he Coco from now on. Markanday is very good, takes good care of the ball and is not a L2 player, but I thought Dobra was our main driver of play. He does sometimes come too deep to get the ball for my liking, but he's so good at breaking lines. You're probably used to him being involved in extra curricular stuff and notice him through that, but he's stopped a lot of that. I thought you were perhaps missing a bit of guile and players who would beat a man today. I appreciate that's usually Jones for you though

What a battling second half performance that is not sure how we hung on there but 3 away wins in a row very nice.

Fully deserved win against MK and the only frustration is that we didn’t make it far more comfortable. Had countless chances second half and after we scored Hackford missed two one on ones which he should have put away. MK barely had a sniff second half and kept doing this diagonal from the keeper time and time again which just became so predictable.

Top of the league two massive away results. Challenge now is to try and stay there.

Yeah there’s too much creative burden on Crowley for us with Jones out and today was one of the days he decided to just keep doing Cruyff turns instead of actually crossing or shooting. I thought him and Dobra had similar games actually, obvious quality but didn’t do enough to actually impact it.

Think we were good value for that win. I’d say as the game went on MK progressively ran out of ideas and seemed to tire a fair bit. The last two away games against quality opponents couldn’t have gone better for us really though important to take it one at a time. Stockley led the line brilliantly and am really pleased with Shorrocks performance.

Also now don’t have to hear any more about the MOTM curse or the Navy Blue away kit curse.

Andy Cook was the difference today, happy with a clean sheet with 4 full backs at the back.

It wasn't hard to notice because of the contradtion. Player of the season so far should be one of your most influential players right?

If he's been in and out of games this season he was definitely out of it today, anonymous.

Agree Dobra and Crowley had similar games, even when stuff isn't coming off for them you always worry as an opposition fan when they are on the ball near your area.

Very comfortable away win at a very poor Tranmere today.

Another 2 goals for the cookie monster. He has now scored 21 goals against former clubs in his career, must be close to a record that?

I cannot believe we are only 1 point off the top 3 as we haven't been playing particularly well up until the last 2 games.

Terrific following of about 1900 Bantams on the Wirral today
