Please hold onto him, a particularly handsome Shaymen came up with a couple of chants for him today.
You might be in luck.

I'm told Alfreton will not release Adam Smith, as the incidents took place prior to him joining the club.

Not too disappointed we are keeping him on. He has done ok for us and we have a good record in supporting rehabilitation

Fair enough. It'll be a bit embarrassing holding onto someone like that, but especially in his first season with us, he was a reliably strong winger who could almost always hook in a cross. Lee Gregory owes a lot to his service and he had some blinding hours on the Shay pitch.

Brings a new meaning to one of the player interviews in our programme, where they were joking that "Adam Smith's always trying to sell us things"!

Who's gonna get to see David James' chopper this weekend?

Budweiser, the official beer of The Emirates FA Cup, is today launching their very first helicopter delivery service, which will be on standby throughout the Third Round – ready to take off and reward the biggest achievements that occur this weekend. The official Bud Chopper will be on standby to airdrop a Budweiser beer delivery to the fans of the team, who, against all odds, beat their tough competitors or put up the biggest fight in the Third Round.

To help celebrate these underdog achievements, and the potential for an unforgettable giant slaying, Budweiser has called on FA Cup winner David James to help them deliver thousands of bottles of free beer to the hometowns of The Emirates FA Cup’s lower-league teams. The Bud Chopper will deliver a celebratory beer drop so fans can raise a Bud to the lower-league team who defeats their higher-ranking competitor. If no underdog victories take place, Budweiser will make the executive decision to reward the fans of the team that played the hardest on the pitch, or where the fans’ loyal support came through strongest.

On Sunday 8th January from 12:00, David James and Budweiser’s dedicated team will be ready and waiting to take off from London’s Biggin Hill Airport, and make its way to the home stadium of the most successful lower-league team playing in the Third Round. David James could be delivering Budweiser to Plymouth Argyle, for their match against Liverpool F.C., or maybe Stourbridge F.C., if they defeat Wycombe Wanderers F.C. Stay up to date with the Bud Chopper’s journey via Budweiser’s social channels (@BudweiserUK).

FA Cup winner, David James, says “The Third Round is an incredibly exciting and unpredictable stage in The Emirates FA Cup no matter how big your team is or what league you’re in. It’s a privilege to be able to work with Budweiser to reward the commitment and passion of all underdog teams this weekend, and celebrate the unwavering support of football fans across the UK. This Bud’s for you.”

Fantastic.
He was actually pretty good for us and then in classic Mills management style he just disappeared, we sent him to Guiseley on loan 5th November 2015 and then permanently in early Jan 2016.
Article says he "pleaded guilty to fraudulently claiming £22,278.27 from the firm between November 18 and December 22, 2015"
Maybe Mills-iah when he still had an aura had sniffed him out for what he was and got shot.

He was excellent for us, just bombed down that wing, got the defender in a muddle and launched the same projectile time after time into the box. If he wasn't doubled up on, he'd grab an assist, it felt simple as that. He'll be slower now though and will doubtless struggle to replicate his old game on lumpier pitches. Things could've been different! But he chose the dark side. Given the number of rather dimwitted footballers out there, there must be resources to help them find better ways of supplementing their part-time incomes...

Reminded me of a Yard of Ale contest I entered because the beer in the yard was free - then they filled it with Younger's Tartan. I actually managed to persuade them to let me go later and fill mine with Newcastle Exhibition - I never spilled a drop.

Allen is furious his return to Griffin Park has been ignored. “It is absolutely outrageous,” he said. “The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. It is a shocking decision whoever made it.

“It should definitely be a televised game. Non-League taking on a Championship club in the third round – oh my god, you would have record views surely?

“It would have record viewers if we were 1-0 up going into the last 20 minutes. The kettles would go bang.

“The clubs at the lower level should be looked after and supported, it is the FA Cup. You should be putting them on TV.

“What the hell is West Ham against Manchester City doing on TV? It is ridiculous. It should be us live on TV.”

In the same interview Allen admitted:
“I dropped out of the Football League because Eastleigh paid me a lot more money

He does sort of have a point though, it's the smaller clubs that make the fa cup days like Lincoln created the other day, the magic of the cup is the giant killing, the Suprise results. Big clubs have no interest in it anymore yet they keep getting the TV games, something needs to be done to keep the fa cup magical.

Not so much Pennock, but Jamie Day being part of the set up is very concerning. He was a complete failure at Welling for gods sake!!
