The wind played a huge part in our game, thankfully we held out till half time and pushed on in the second half with us kicking with the wind, I am disappointed we didn't win as we managed to pen Eastleigh in and created some good openings and chances again. The fresh legs and pace of Bonne and Koroma caused them problems. In the end, Eastleigh were more than happy to hold out for the draw.

The game wasn't great to watch by any means, but we certainly shaded it and the performance was miles better than Tuesdays. We did look better with Ling at Right back.

Personally I think we're a hard team to beat, but we've got to start scoring again otherwise we're going to be getting more and more frustrated. Certainly need two new strikers in the summer, but thats another topic.

Must be a great feeling knowing that you're in exactly the same bracket at the league leaders. Remind me how old your club is again?
Is that supposed to be a burn or did someone just throw a dud match at me?:fl:

I didn’t realise you did away games, especially at what you describe as a tinpot side.

Miller is one of the poorer officials at this level, having seen him allow Richard Brodie to referee our game at York last season and give Wrecsam a fairly generous penalty in this one. Mistaken identity not beyond him, though haven’t seen the incident yet.
I think everyone who follows a REAL club should do a Guisly at least once in their life, just so you can enjoy showing the Tin Potters what a REAL football club looks like. :bdick:

If that's it you can keep it. Your lot made us look good today!
Where was your right winger, you definitely missed him today.

A well earned 3 points , making it 9 points from that last 3 games, with 3 clean sheets as well. Macclesfield played into our hands by playing real football on a dogged pitch with constant snow throughout the game, Our defence is too strong, and our pitch is to boggy to play fancy one touch stuff, and Macclesfield did not look likely to break through the second tightest defence in the league, and when they did , Mitch Walker was there to stop them. results else where today going our way as well, just making it more congested in the top of this league. Longest trek of the season for us next week as we're off to Barra

It's going to be a Boreham Wood vs Sutton playoff final isn't it? What a spectacle that will be.
The funny thing is, as tinpot as they might be as a club, Wood are actually a very good team this season and play entertaining football. Andrade, Ferrier and Balanta are as good a front three as any at this level.

They caused us all sorts of problems and deservedly beat us today.

Fair report. We had most of the ball and knocked it about well, but it was one of those days, and we wouldn't have scored if we'd played all night. Marsh-Brown was the best player on the pitch, even if his play acting was a bit embarrassing.

Results went our way so it seems like we've got away with one of our hardest remaining games without any damage. It was a strange feeling going home - we'd lost but the other results meant nothing much had changed and I was sort of positive!

Boreham Wood have some of the best players at this level. God knows how much the owner spends to get them on crowds of 300!

We didn't concede a single goal to them in both games so what does that mean?

It means that Scott Harrison, Louis Laing, Blair Adams and Carl Magnay are by far the best defence in the division.

Agree! Most times I’ve seen Borehamwood play I’ve been impressed by their football. Less impressive are their sportsmanship antics which funnily enough cost them a victory at Prenton earlier in the season.

Christ knows how they would get round FFP if they ever get in the football league.

A very honest artist's impression of the B-Wood fans cramming into their new home end.

Thought it was an entertaining game in the snow in Woking, and at times probably some of the best football I've seen us play this season.

We start alright but then Woking score from a corner. We continue to have most of the ball and equalise from one of the biggest shithouse goals in a while. Rutherford cross that takes a deflection and several hours later nestled in the bottom corner.
Then for remaining part of the first half and until we took the lead we pretty much dominated possession. Kelly scores with what I think was an overhit cross.. probably deserved as he played very well. Keeper made a few good saves.

And as we so often do once we take the lead, we proceed to ease off and then Woking had a good 10-15 min spell on top. An absolute thunderblaster hits the post and somehow came out.. and from a corner soon after Dunn was absolutely nowhere and a simple header back over him to make it 2-2. During this Holroyd had a one-on-one save to make it 3-1.. and then Boden had a pretty good chance at the end to win it.
From where I was stood at the other end, it also looks like Woking were unfortunate not to be given a penalty at 2-2 when Pearson hauled down their forward in the box...

Overall pretty disappointed we didn't win but that was a good watch considering the horrible weather. Hope we continue to play like that for the remainder of the season and we'll be fine for finishing in the play offs.

So St Ledger has shed no light on Rooney's sending off as apparently you can't speak to refs. Surely clubs are allowed some sort of access to his match report? My only theory is that he has gone for something he has said in the melee and not something he did.

Sponsorship deals with local colleges plus plenty of money coming in from Arsenal ladies. Boreham Wood have long been smart in finding alternate legitimate ways of funding

You're right. If only other clubs had thought of sponsorship deals and having bigger clubs play their sub-teams at their grounds, they'd also be able to challenge for promotion to the football league on zero crowds.

Charging each away fan per breath in their stadium is quite smart admittedly.

I absolutely love the statement from the Chairman.

“When this fantastic North Stand is built, and trust me it will look fantastic, the supporters will finally have something to be very proud off behind the home goal, and finally something to keep them dry when it buckets down haha."

Usually a 30 minute 'cooling off' period before you're allowed to speak to the ref.

Typical that Woking sign Oliver Kahn right before we face them. We actually played alright yesterday, and would have won if we weren't cornered to death again.

That's all I can think of too. A couple of our players calmly approached Miller on the half time whistle and asked the reason but he just waved them away. Sean St.Ledger then tried to speak to him as they walked off the pitch with the same result. To me that attitude only makes the situation worse. A simple brief explanation with either our captain or manager would surely have been the wise option. Sadly, Miller is so arrogant and self absorbed that I'm sure such a thought never entered his head.
When we saw him warming up pre-match our first topic of conversation was what controversial decision would Miller make this time which would affect the outcome of the game. He didn't disappoint.

Is he going to hand out towels then? The Tin Potters think putting a high roof on a tiny stand hides the fact that it's a tiny stand and the illusion of "shelter" is shattered the first time it rains on a match day. See AFC Fylde for further details.:fl:
