Stones nowhere near on it today compared to other games this season, we completely lost the midfield with around 10 minutes to go. Alex Dyer’s retrospective 3 match ban (clearly they are applied jacobncfc) imo will have largely contributed to that as he keeps things ticking over in the middle of the park.

Aldershot’s first was criminal defending from us from a corner, their second was from a beautiful cross from Toby Edser - one of those that you knew was going to cause problems just after it was hit.

Worst that we have played this season. Our defence gets lots of plaudits but every game they seem badly culpable for the goals conceded. Both goals saw the left of our defence exposed. Okimo seems to be lost.

Midfield pedestrian and passing poor. Ironically our forwards where we had most concern, seem to be finding the net. Umerah’s fifth in seven league games was certainly not expected.

Definitely points lost, though the draw the right result.

We conceded our sixth penalty of the season today.

We are otherwise title-winning material.

Listen pal… come back when you head to the notoriously hostile ‘Crabble’ stadium and earn a point! That’s when I’ll start to take you serious!
The Crabble. Jesus wept.

To be fair, I’d quite like to see this team playing someone good at home, see what they’re properly made of.

Doing a good job Pete wild on limited resources. Cracking result. Stockport need to get rid and fast
Done a great job overall for us. Sometimes worries too much about the opposition but recently seems to be focussing more on ourselves and making slight tweaks as and when we need to. If we carry on at the rate we are, it's only a matter of time before bigger clubs come calling.

An unexpected 3 points today.
Very good 1st half. Brilliant goal by Mullin and probably should of been atleast 2 or 3 up at HT.

D&R came out much better after half time and controlled the possession for the vast majority of 45, how they didn't score I don't know. Some great saves from Laiton. Goal line clearance from Tozer and some poor finishes and we held on.

Shame Lennon went off he was very good again until his injury, hopefully not to serious

Showed plenty of fight first half when they should have been ahead. But 2nd half they were dreadful. The towel well and truly went in when we scored the 2nd.
We’ve not come from behind once under Rusk in nine months.

Would agree with that, very similar to Southend on Tuesday, letting our midfield knock it about. Must admit was surprised, expected ‘Stones back room staff to have sussed us out . Without Corie Andrews we would really struggle. Pleased with a point, I have a feeling we’ll be grateful for each and every one.
Would say just about 200 Shots there today, not bad considering the crap on and off the pitch.

Fantastic young coach. As AJS says he worries about the opposition too much at times. But he's got us near the top end of this league consistently in his time here.

Poor first half from Notts, feared we were going to be Devonshired, Maidenhead perhaps slightly unlucky to not go in 1-up at the break.

Second half we were 10 times better, far more direct and got the ball forward much quicker. Got an early goal and should have got 2/3 more - real off day in front of goal for Roberts, and the keeper made an unreal save from Taylor. No idea why the Maidenhead guy who brought Rodrigues down for the penalty didn’t see red, it was a clear goalscoring opportunity. Also what was with their defender shoving the ref? Didn’t even get a ticking off. Very odd performance from the official.

Never really felt like we were in trouble after the goal, not sure Maidenhead had a chance following that. Devonshiring avoided.

That whole incident with their player shoving the ref was hilarious. He fell over as they broke, Lacey took the opportunity to haul someone over while he wasn’t looking, he then played on. They went mental, a Maidenhead player nearly pushed him back over, and then eventually he decided Lacey must’ve done something to piss them off so much so just booked him anyway.

Comfortable win, should’ve been a lot easier but Roberts had an uncharacteristic nightmare in front of goal, missing a penalty and a sitter. Lot of room for improvement, but can’t really argue with our start.

Need to sort out how we start games, though. Very lifeless for the first half an hour again.
I'd sell Roberts first chance I got. He's playing for the transfer, greedy and not doing right by his team mates.
Great player for this level but it's easy to forget down here just how moderate most of the "stars" actually are.

Yeah, I think it was just about conceivably a genuine attempt to play the ball.

Do you think? Looked like he just clumsily barged him over to me when otherwise Rodrigues would have had a pretty easy finish from 8/10 yards. Will have a look at the replay. Ha, I don’t remember the ref falling over just before their guy shoved him.

He was no different when he first pitched up as an unknown from Blyth Spartans tbf. Let him get his 15/20 goals and sell him next summer.

Still a booking though isn’t it? It wasn’t a real attempt to play the ball anyway, Rodrigues had done him and he hacked him down.

Two poor sides obviously toady but thankfully a much needed home win with a goal in Garytime. Bit like last year. Thankfully the keeper changed and hopefully a couple additions before the weekend.

Talk about a game of 2 halves. We rode our luck in the first half and somehow went into the break 1 up but we completely battered Stockport in the second half. We definitely deserved the 3 points over the 90 minutes.

A few side notes about Stockport. What was with all the hoof ball to Kitching?! Hinchliffe either can’t kick accurately or had an off day and Hogan was abysmal. Looked a shadow of his old self.
We’ve got no striker who can win a header with Quigley out so it was Kitching or midget Madden to aim at and yes Hinchliffe’s kicking is at best inconsistent at worst terrible.

I like Yeovil’s manager. Listened to his pre and post match interviews and apart from referring to us as adolescent when he meant the complete opposite he seems a good bloke who knows what he’s on about and chooses his words carefully rather than giving out the old cliches.

Could Southend drop straight through the league? Always thought they'd bottom out like we did but they're not scoring many, not winning and there doesn't seem much of anything to put he brakes on.

Ooh, he's a "fantastic young coach" now is he? Amazing what 3 good results can do for a manager's ability, innit. But "what sort of manager sets up defensively when he needs a win" though, huh! Oh wait, don't tell me, he's "learned" those "lessons" you've been claiming he's needed to learn but is too stupid to learn now, right? Is that it, huh? Is that what's happened? 2 games without a win and he'll be shit again. TOSSER! :ds:
