You'll be fine then Aber!

Play offs for us barring 3 wins and an overturn in GD. Sigh.

What. A. Night.

One of the best experiences in 22 years watching Sutton. From the moment Wishart scored it was one long crazy night. We were strong, switched on, and able to do what was necessary.

From our end the red card incident was a nonsence, but it did enough to raise unity levels.

Thought our support was excellent last night in terms of numbers and noise, with the idea to self-segregate being a shrewd move. I'm poor at telling these things but 250-300 Sutton fans maybe.

The maths is simple. Win our next 4 and we are champions.

Finally a word or more on Maidstone United. Every supporter I spoke to, official I had contact with were great. And I'm not the only Sutton fan to think that. The squad certainly appreciated the attitude of the Stones fans

Up the U's!

Sutton:
Margate (A)
Bishops Stortford (H)
Ebbsfleet (H)
Chelmsford (H)
Oxford City (A)

Ebbsfleet:
Chelmsford (H)
Sutton (A)
Eastbourne (H)

Obviously Fleet have to beat Sutton to have any chance of winning the title, and even that might not be enough with goal difference. Margate, B Stortford, Chelmsford and Oxford isn't a bad run in at all for Sutton, but Fleet need at least one of those to pick up points somewhere along the line. Likewise, Chelmsford and Eastbourne at home should both be winnable for Ebbsfleet. My gut feeling says that Sutton will win it by a few points, with the crunch match finishing as a draw.

On the game last night, Sutton were streets ahead of Maidstone, who I thought were pretty awful. Was surprised how many ex-league players Sutton had (I will admit to knowing very little about this level) - I suppose their experience is a key reason for why they will probably win the league.

Sutton facing an FA charge for fielding an ineligible player. You cannot make this up.

Very much doubt they'll be deducted anything as they were 3-0 up when he came on.

Interesting all the same.

Can only echo what Raymondo said; we were very poor. Sutton were excellent, and would be worthy champions as it looks like they may be (barring this potential points deduction business).

Let's hope Jay learned from the game and will build accordingly come the off season.

Reading into this "ineligible player" shit a bit more, Doswell says Sutton got the forms to the League in time but not all authorities. Am guessing the FA? Whys it only come to light now?

The rules clearly state that fielding an ineligible player will result in a point deduction, however I feel that as the game was already won it'll just be a slap on the wrist.

Makes no odds to us though. Point deduction or not we have to win all three games. And fairly comfortably.

We can't have this thread dropping to the second page!

Chelmsford at home for us tomorrow. Ugh. Not beaten them in 3 attempts this season and they appear to be in a bit of form.

3 wins from 3 is an absolute must.

I wasnt at the game and Gods sake I'm glad I'm on holiday in Cornwall anyway cos I did plan on going to this game until the last minute plan to come here...

I honestly didn't expect a point against Ebbsfleet to be honest...but I didn't exactly think it'd end in a 5-0 loss!

Do the players actually know that we're in a relegation battle here..we should be fighting for results not getting demolished .

10 goals conceded in 2 games is fucking ridiculous.

Will be keeping an eye on Weston-super-mare on Tuesday night. But they can win if they like we deserve to be in the bottom 3. I've said a few times now but I'm braced for relegation. We're games ahead of everyone around us and 1 point of the drop...surely...someone just put us out our misery!!!

May be a silly question but how has James Hamon done in goal for you lot so far?

Joe. - That won't be easy, Chelmo are on a decent run at the minute.

I can get re-acquainted with the M23 tomorrow as we head down to Brighton to take on Whitehawk. This would have been a train, beer, football day had it not been for engineering works between Three Bridges and Brighton.... however there's no way I'm getting a replacement bus. Car, Shandy, Football it is!

Wouldn't surprise me if we lost 3-0 like we did the last time we visited the South Coast (Eastbourne) back in January. I still believe we need another win to be guaranteed safety.

Given that the photo was taken at Grosvenor Vale, I can only assume that the Margate players had a hard-on for the total football we were about to play...

I know mate! We haven't beaten them this season in 3 attempts and they're on form. I'm worried.

Simply, we have to win all three games and hope Sutton lose 2. Can't see it happening.

Massive game for us today. Margate may be struggling but we'll need to hold our nerve and put the past few days behind. The title is still in our hands, deduction or no deduction

Hes had his on and off days tbh. His debut got United man of the match when he kept his (to date) only clean sheet for us against Ebbsfleet on the 27th Feb...but I think if our defenders weren't playing so terrible he could be seen as a much better goalkeeper

In the 2 games I've watched him in he made some great saves despite us losing both of them games.

We're away to Oxford today. Could be interesting as we've both lost our last 3, but going on recent performances I can only think we're gonna lose.

Basingstoke v Weston-super-mare is a big game for us to watch for

That's why I don't get the clamour from our lot to see you get deducted points. Same scenario for us both ways.

It's that reach out for hope, wanting to grasp at any chance.

I guess.

Don't get me wrong, if you are found guilty then yeah you probably should receive a deduction, but it makes no odds to us either way. We still have to win all three games, while hoping you lose two. Or just lose to us and we swing the GD.

What an absolute load of wank that was!! We started resting players for the playoffs 4 games before they even started

A Kent derby against one of our biggest rivals & we treat it like a bloody pre season friendly :ffs:

Looking forward to seeing who the Whitehawk 'ultras' blame for the aggro today...

Shame I didn't put some money on it mate. We were woeful, strange choice in personnel but we gift wrapped Whitehawk their 3-0 win with 3 shocking mistakes.

Looking forward to seeing who the Whitehawk 'ultras' blame for the aggro today...

@HawkArmy is insistent it was all our fault when even some Whitehawk fans are claiming the Raider was assaulted at HT. Clearly some locals have a real grudge with the Raider, judging by some comments before the game and chants throughout the match.

Having seen some footage of the trouble after the game (I was walking up the hill to my car and could hear the commotion), a fair few of our supporters are morons who can't handle their drink and thought it would be a good idea to throw some punches. They need banning (if only in the interim) to teach them a lesson.

Can't say much as I was at Plymouth Argyle v AFC Wimbledon...

anyway, we remain in the bottom 3...started brightly after being 2-0 up at Half time but 2nd half I'm guessing our defence played up again as it ended 2-2.

Vital point but with Havant's game postponed it means we go a game ahead of 1 more team...so practically everyone around us has a game in hand on us now. Still sure we're going down.

Biggest away win of the season yesterday keeps us ³ points behind Ebbsfleet. A win on Monday against Stortford at the lane will see us top

I'm still on a high from yesterday. Great atmosphere in the second half.

Should be 6 or 700 of us at Sutton next week. I can't fucking wait.

A video of yesterday by a fan who goes around the grounds. Pretty decent, seen as I feature a lot in the second half!
