Top of the league! 2-0 win tonight over Bishop's Stortford sees Sutton top the league, albeit on goal difference. Up the U's!

Please pardon my ignorance of this league but the last time I saw the league table which was a good few months ago, Ebbsfleet had a humungous lead, around 12 - 14 points if I recall, so my question is.......
What the fuck happened?!

Sutton and Maidstone had games in hand and then we drew a few too many. Lost only once in 16 I think, but I think 6 or 7 were draws! While Sutton are something stupid like 25 games unbeaten.

It's going to be an interesting end to the season and with their hearing coming up (today, according to one of their fans on our forum), it could make Saturday even more huge.

Think we're close to filling a 7th coach now. I can't wait.

Meanwhile down in lower areas of the table...

I believe guaranteed safety is now 55, meaning that most of the teams in this league still aren't mathematically safe yet. And also, Basingstoke are pretty much down.

That's always been the case in this league, only about 15 points separated 14 teams!

That's Dundas in your avatar pic right? I only just realised he was already playing for Sutton back in 2008! He must be the very definition of the word 'loyal' then.

Btw, good luck for the future, but I'll be honest and say I'm kinda torn between Sutton and Ebbsfleet* for the title.

*Only because Joe's a good chap and a decent poster, and he was also on the old forum and used to run the prediction league

Nice one Joe. Blue hoodie eh? ;)

Yes mate!

Cheers for the kind words sir! Don't post nearly half as much as I used to, unfortunately. I thought you was going to say how much you liked us then! I suppose liking me will have to be enough!

Sutton's hearing was/is supposed to be today. No idea. I'm just buzzing for Saturday. Onto 8 coaches now, fantastic gesture from the club to make it free travel. Our away support this season has actually been quite good I think.

Jared was on the old forum too, just saying.

It doesn't matter too much who wins the league, because the runner up will coast the playoffs anyway.

Chances are we're already safe on 48, 50 will definitely confirm safety with so many at the bottom having to play one another.

We're home to Maidenhead this Saturday who have plenty to play for. I'm sure the Magpies will be much improved from their performance against us at York Road in February.

Any of you Kent Stones making the trip to Cornwall this weekend?

He was. Fairly active at times too, I believe. I was constantly posting in that place.

Rarely get the time these days.

I'm going! One of the few trips I genuinely wanted to make this year. Going down tomorrow and staying until Sunday.

It is indeed Craig Dundas in my pic. Made his 400th Sutton appearance at the end of January

No word as to when this hearing is. The sooner the better. I wouldn't be shocked if we avoided a points deduction. Not would I be shocked the other way.

Just got to win 3 games

I still like Ebbsfleet Joe, but Sutton are on terrific run and have clawed their way back in, and it's always admirable when any side (except Whitehawk) goes on such a run. Well, at least for us neutrals.

I'm only messing mate. Got to hand it to them, they've been fantastic for several months now. I'm so pumped for this.

Was at York Road to witness a "strange" match...

We went 1-0 down and looked dead and buried with very little confidence amd our fans being fucking idiots and not supporting whatsoever (just abuse to all players and Garry Haylock dont know what hes doing apparently-- which is pure bs as hes worked miracles at our club before)

But we came and equalised in something like the 83rd minute then a few minutes later we got a penno and took the lead (the fans soon loved Garry and the squad)..we looked good to get another goal with our attacking play but concord caught us out with virtually the last kick of the game to make it 2-2

With St.Albans winning 6-0 (!) they look good for safety its now between us, Weston-s-Mare,Margate, Bath and Havant for them final spots I think.
A few crunch ties with us playing Bath next week possibly sealing our fate then Havant v Weston on the final weekend

I'm not at all convinced we are going to survive but determination was there once we equalised today...I will be certain next Saturday when we play Bath.

What a monumental collapse from Ebbsfleet. Would rather Sutton come up, much better away day.

Looks like it's Sutton's title now, congratulations to them.

Ebbsfleet, Maidstone, and Dartford could make an interesting playoff...
Sutton are by far the best team i seen this season, so there worthy champions as far as im concerned

As for the playoffs, Truro are pretty much a shoo-in for a spot with 5 games still to play. Last spot is between Hemel, Maidenhead, Dartford & sad to say Shitehawk. They have some how turned things around and got right back in the playoff race....4 games left & 6 points behind. I can really see them nicking 5th place

Not bothered to include Gosport, they seem in a right mess.

We haven't won anything yet.......

Couldn't make it today, but it's fantastic to see we can put in the big performances when it matters. 24 games (19 wins 5 draws) unbeaten isn't a fluke, it's the product of a strong settled team.

Ignoring the FA hearing we're 1 point from the title, with two games to play. Just got to hold our nerve

2 local games for St Albans with Wealdstone and Bishop Stortford who are both mid table.

Great job in the final month or so of the season!
