Absolutely gutted.

We just didn't turn up. I would have taken a play off place at the start of the season given last seasons disaster, but it's sickening being top for so long only to let it slip in the last few weeks.

Reckon we had around a thousand there in the end. Few hundred down each side and behind the goal also. Good turnout but it seems the players were still on the coach!

Still, the play offs it is. As long as we don't have to go to Truro on a Wednesday night, I'll be happy. Would like to see Dartford finish in fifth and play them over two legs. Failing that, Hemel will do. We beat them 6-0 recently.

Wealdstone 0-0 Maidenhead United (Att: 800)

Yawn. We have no midfield. Onto Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday night.

I didnt go but im told we took 300-350 down to Truro

I'm not really one to go on about away followings....but thats a pretty good turnout for a 600 mile round trip

Great following. Novelty of the trip (first time, arse end of nowhere etc.) probably gets a few extra going who wouldn't normally travel away.

Excellent following that. As Aber says, first time etc, will add a few on. We took around 150 down there this season which I thought was pretty good.

What's happened to ebbsfleet? Last time I checked they were miles ahead at the top and something like 1/7 to win the league!?

If it happens haha. I wonder what kind of crowd it would pull if it were held at say, Priestfield.

(Yes i know this isn't going to happen)

As SS says, Sutton have been simply class. 24 games unbeaten while we hit a bad patch drawing something stupid like 5 in 7. Shame, but I'd have taken the play offs before the start of the season.

I love how there's already a Maidstone fan moaning on our forum about ticket allocations. For all we know, it could be a Truro v Hemel final!

I'd like to think we will make the final but you really can't tell. If we turn up we should have enough about us, but so far this season we appear to have got into a habit of not turning up in the more important games!!

We took a mammoth 14 down to Truro!!

On a Tuesday night too, kudos.

I'm starting to think it's destined that Hemel will shithouse their way up via the playoffs.

Ridiculous if you ask me. I responded to his comment RE ticket allocations but I'm not banking that we will be there. We could quite easily lose to any of those sides in the hunt.

I've put in request for all the days off and the day after each game! Really hope we don't have to go to Truro on a fucking Wednesday night.

On a Tuesday night too, kudos.

I'd fancy us against them if I'm honest, although as I said, it's pot luck. Turn up you win. Don't and you are left devastated, like two seasons ago with Dover!!

Given you beat them 6-0, I'd understand why Fleet would be confident of beating Hemel.

We're at Bishop's Stortford tomorrow night. I should sack it off and not go, but it's local and I've made the majority of our fixtures this season (35/39) so I'll be there.

With how things stand in the National relegation wise...its looking like a team will be moved from the North to the South

Welling relegated
Poole Town now Southern Premier champions....out of the playoff teams Redditch, Leamington & Hitchin would go North. Hungerford to the South.
Hampton are all but Ryman Premier champions...one of ETU, Bognor, Tonbridge, Enfield or Dulwich from the playoffs

So you'd have to imagine Gloucester would be favourites to be moved

Hitchin in the Conference North??!!
Looking at the map they look more northern than Gloucester

This is the very league that had Stortford in the Conference North....Hitchin is more northern than them

I know!
I know we've never been below the top level of non-league since the Alliance Premier League was formed in 1979, but we'd be in serious danger of being assigned to the National North if we were ever relegated to Level 2.

Then you look at it the other way

If Boreham Wood get relegated & Hungerford win the playoffs....One of Hemel, St Albans or Stortford will be moving north

Pretty ridiculous really

Boreham Wood have Guiseley and Welling left, they'll survive. 3 Northern teams down so if Hitchin win the playoffs (please let this happen, I'll be at their semi-final assuming they make it) they'll be in the South. Gloucester from what I've read before prefer being in the North, being on the M5.

As for Hitchin, decent boozing town and need I say more about Top Field, so much charm. It also helps that I can get to the ground in 20 minutes from my house.

Poole will be fun next season.

Edit: Hitchin are definitely in the playoffs. Should have checked tonight's results before posting.

The FA dont seem to care what clubs want

I remember Lowestoft were desperate to be put in the South but were still put in the North...same last summer and they still moved Oxford instead

As long as we turn up, we shouldn't fear anybody. If we freeze then we have no chance. We froze on Saturday, we can do it again.
