EFL Hub on twitter linking us with Tom Davies who’s been on loan at Barrow from Bristol Rovers. Probably a load of shit. Any good?

Excellent with us - if he's fit he's L1 level, Came to us to get match fit after a long injury lay off - played virtually every game until about 6 weeks ago but missed from then until the end of the season injured. Dunno if that's related to the original injury or not.
We'd happily sign him if we knew his fitness meant he'd play say 75% or 80% of the matches.

We’ve been linked on Twitter to any Walsall or Mansfield player going!

Sweeney and Benning due to the Flickers link

Wes Macdonald, Josh Gordon with the DC link

Oh and Paul Mullin! Cant see that one myself and either way a gamble as he’s had one good season.

Macdonald had lots of promise a couple of season back but not sure why he’s gone downhill.

Would take Sweeney and Benning mind.

McDonald just doesn't seem to give too much of a shit, he's rather lazy defensively despite having a lot of ability to beat a man and go past him. He will have one good game in 5, or this season, one good game in about 20. The rest he walks up and down the field, dribbles into opposition and leathers crosses on his week foot to no-one. I think he is one who really needs to feed off the crowd, which would explain his really poor season. There's a player in there for sure, but the fact he has been released by us shows how poor he has been in the last 12/16 months.

Never really known us to have such a big clear out, but it was needed. It's just a shame it couldn't have happened last summer when so many were still tied down.

We've released: Josh Bohui, Jevani Brown, Callum Coulter, Paris Cowan-Hall, Luke Gambin, Callum Harriott, Tom Lapslie, Harry Pell, Courtney Senior, Omar Sowunmi, Diaz Wright

The only real shame there is Tom Lapslie, who was always a solid 7/10. He's had injury problems this season though so barely featured. Courtney Senior is disappointing too on the basis that he's always looked to have the potential to play much higher but he has been woeful for the past year or so, so no surprise that his time is up.

Harry Pell and Tom Lapsie jump out of that list.

Pell is one of those that opposing fans love to hate but things happen around him and Lapsie looks good whenever I see him.

Doubt if we could afford either but a decent midfield could be built out of players released in the last few days.

Both games we played against you, Harriott was the best player on the pitch - is he not that great the rest of the time?

About the only one I disagree with. He was virtually MoM in every game when we were last in L2. Been played as a CB by the Sheridactyl and is obviously that big older and slower. But he’s still do a great job in L2.

He has the ability to be one of the best players in League One, let alone League Two. He missed the last couple of games due to 'personal reasons' and the rumour mill suggests he might be unavailable for anyone else for a while too.

1 player - youth team keeper - was left a voicemail as he didn’t answer his phone. Still not ideal but we’ve got no owner, no manager, no academy manager.

Still, don’t let facts get in the way.

I would 100% take Grant, would be a great replacement for Winchester. Need to appoint a manager before we start signing players mind.

We've announced which senior players we're releasing.

Dean Furman

End of list

You're looking in the wrong place, you've released a few apparently.

Players released: Jamie Armstrong, Charlie Barnes, Charlie Birch, Dean Furman, Liam Lightfoot, Cedwyn Scott, Tom Wilson.

Senior players, the rest are first year pros who didn't feature and one young lad signed in January from Hebburn Town who got a handful of sub appearances.

Ah ok. Shame you included the youngsters on the list, would have been funny (and brutal) to see just one player listed on the released list.

You fancy Hallam Hope back?
He'll turn up at Oldham now... Keith Curle fucking loves the arse off him. Probably rang Bob's doorbell within minutes of your retained list, he's from Manchester too, so even more reason to expect it.

Well apart from Scott, the others knew they were being released weeks ago. Maybe we put them on the list as a kindness to him.

Something like that, although 4/5 have just come through the academy.

But that’s Ben Garner for you. Plus we had 3 on loan..

Never seemed to fit in here from day one. He was never in the same mould as Szmodics and the system didn't work with him, his attitude and demeanour never seemed right. Started the season playing up front as we had no strikers and had a little goal flurry for a fortnight or so, but he was never a front man... been a weird signing all round really.

In other news, Harry Pell has now joined Accrington. Staggered that he's managed to land a three-year deal in League One but fair play to his agent.

I expected us to keep a lot of the squad but probably not this many. Toure and Anderton being surprises in my opinion. Expect Bennett will reject his deal.

I hope it leaves room for strengthening as we still do need a few quality players in certain positions.
