Much as I want us out of this competition tonight, the downside of losing to Bradford is having their fans on Twitter acting like they’ve just beaten Man City, telling our fans to stop crying and posting gifs of Andy Cook dancing or pulling silly faces like last time.

A game we absolutely don't want to play. We have no choice but to play first teamers who we'd like to wrap in cotton wool.
If you want a dead cert for your bets, back Derby.

If Cook is risked tonight then our manager needs sacking, oh wait…

A guy at my work backed Derby that he thought was a dead cert against Cheltenham as part of his acca, it was the only one that didn’t come in and stopped him winning nearly 2 grand. :lol:

Of course you have a choice. Everybody wants to put out the least number possible. We’re low on numbers as it is but I think we’ll get away with hardly any regulars tonight.

11 changes for us from Saturday.

All we need now is for our fans to stop going to these matches.

Don't know how many we sold for tonight, sold out id guess?
I'd imagine we'll get 8k+ for the Vale match at home.

Nice to see Parky isn't bothered either. Nobody major risked

Huge punch up outside Reading’s stadium. Carrying on from the city centre.

Its the Pizza Cup, guys!

That was just Reading fans fighting amongst themselves as the kiosk only had one portion of quails eggs left so it caused complete carnage.

Also picking MacAlinden is like gifting the opposition a goal.

Fantastic goal scored by Jordan Davies already. If this competition let's him build up his sharpness then it's worth it.

Didnt think anyone was allowed to,make that many changes thought teams had to include at least six from,their previous match

Didnt think anyone was allowed to,make that many changes thought teams had to include at least six from,their previous match

according to the regs you need four qualifying players.

A qualifying player must meet one of these criteria

I. had started the immediately preceding First Team Fixture (as defined below);

II. subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture;

iii. is in the list of ten Players at the Club with the highest number of starting appearances in First Team Fixtures in the same Season;

Iv. has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season); or

v. is on standard loan from a Premier League Club or any EFL Club operating a Category One Academy.

Clear as mud

Almost all of our team qualify under IV.

So far so good. Don't even think about coming back from 2-0 down this time lads...

Looks like you've gone opposite to us. We've got kids on the bench and an experienced team on the pitch. Looks like you've got the kids on and your first teamers on the bench.

You'll have to forgive us this season, we've just gone a little giddy about being back in the league. Don't look at the away fans...

We've shown our contempt for this competition ever since it was destroyed by a certain Shaun Harvey. Always been a place where we give the first year pros their debuts and they're told to play with freedom. Fans very much on board wanting us to have a swift exit each season too.

If we had more resources as a club, we'd pay the fine for flouting the joke regulations every single time I'd imagine.

I think there'll be seven starting on Saturday who played at least part of the game tonight, all outfield players. They're fit men and will get over it but I'm pretty sure Williams didn't want this game at all.

The only choice was that or expose some 16/17 year olds who are getting caned most weeks in their own youth league to what was effectively Derby’s first team, which isn’t really fair.

Thought it was a very respectable showing anyway considering the changes, played some nice stuff and had Derby clinging on a bit at the end despite us bringing on a couple of said youth team players. They were right dirty bastards, incredibly lucky not to end the game with nine men and we were incredibly lucky not to lose Austin or Adebayo to serious injuries. Two absolutely honking tackles.

Looks like a load of teenaged boys behind the goal.

Any fighting at a Pizza cup game would be the ultimate tinpot move so let's hope not.

I remember when we lost to Eastleigh in the FA Cup, four young lads ended up doing jail time after what happened in the aftermath of that game things escalated that badly. The cups always seem to bring the knuckledraggers out at our place.

I put £50 on Derby at 11/10. I hardly ever bet on Notts either way, I'm not very balanced on Notts prospects, either wildly optimistic or too negative and rarely go over £5, usually Accas, but occasionally I get the feeling and I was pretty certain we'd lose. Derby brought 3,000 so were always going to put a shift in and we were never going to play our best team.

Watched this tonight on a stream to my shame, so desperate are we. Good first half with the change squad, dominating possession and a goal up. Horseman makes changes at the half and it's back to the shakiness and a goal conceded, though we ended up winning the penalty shootout, with Searle saving a couple of times to add to the pen he saved during regular time, after Dh has been leaving him out for a loanee for apparently not training right.
