We were that scared of pissing off the Wealdstone massive and creating unnecessary friction with them that despite being 4 points clear at the top of the National League at the time we let them meekly beat us 1-0 so as to diffuse any potential future BEEF.
Yep we basically relinquished the title to avoid that BEEF.

I don’t think we’re going to sell many to be honest. It’s just impossible to get down and back on the day using public transport which will put a lot off. A real shame.

So tickets on sale at 10am tomorrow and we still don’t even know how to buy them.

Anybody else getting fucking sick of adverts coming up every time you click on an alert? Obviously it’s worse for me as I get so many likes that I’m clicking on alerts all the fucking time. :bg:

7000 yesterday, don't know how many more now they're on general sale but I know plenty of people who are normally only half interested in football really wanting to go and go on the away coaches, those that want to go will find a way of getting there.

Worth saying since the unsavoury scenes that marred last season's end the several pitch invasions up and down the country passed off without major incident (though Man City shat themselves)

A fair few United fans made a beeline for the police cordon in front of the Bradford fans but most just had a bit of a 'in your face' yell then ran off to join the majority, don't think there were any arrests and the Bradford players, while a bit swamped were allowed to go join their fans.

Of course pyro may be a different matter due to the danger it can cause.

The pubs around their ground serve good food too in fact I’ve heard Wealdstone is renowned for its top notch BEEF!

(Probably wasted on you that valefan16 but those of us who’ve slummed it in the National League recently will know what i mean) ;)

I’d be surprised if we have over 10000-12000 there. Most people will have bought on Sunday given that ST holders and playoff semi ticket holders could buy. There won’t be much more and it’s down to the sheer ball ache of getting there on the day.

A lot are planning on staying in places like Milton Keynes and Luton Saturday night.

Yeah but not everyone can afford a stay over.

I’m staying in London the night before, but I’ve heard plenty of people who aren’t going at all now because they haven’t been able to get a bus on the day.

It would be nice to take 20 - 25,000 like we have on previous visits, but I can’t see it happening this time.

It’ll be 10k - 12k at absolute most I expect.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
12,000 is pretty good when trace costs are between £60-120 then you have tickets of £30-60 quid and on top of that have to set off 4am for an early kick off.

7000 sold so far for us to season ticket holders only. More than I was expecting though I think there is diminishing returns with these cases as people will buy their tickets as soon as they can rather than last minute.

Only a saddo with nothing better to do would gloat that they get so many likes on a football forum.

Well, hopefully one more win for us this season and I'll not have to be down here anymore to read your nonsense.

I hope you break 20k as well, if only to make Wembley look less red and empty.

There is going to be a lot of seat gore as we've basically just dumped our entire allocation on sale and allowing people to choose their own blocks. I get the impression Carlisle fans will be a lot more grouped together.

Yeah we’ve been selling block by block which has pissed off a lot of our fans.

But as I say at a guess we’ll likely only sell 10-12k at most due to the impossibility of getting down there by train on the day.

Did they not give you a 'singing blocks'/safe standing/family section etc option?

A bit more than I expected but I’d say it won’t go much higher than that. If people are going they’ll have it sorted by now.

I think there's people who want to go but are looking around for options for travel and accommodation before booking tickets.

You're right that it being a nightmare will put people off but I think for the same reason it's not gonna be the case that everyone who is going has already got their tickets by now.

I know of a few friends and relatives that are still trying to work out the best way there without breaking the bank. I'm sure that I'm not the only person who knows people in that situation.

Every option is getting weighed up and the creativity is flowing.

Time is running out and the thought of missing out will get real. At that point people will snap and bite the bullet.

Think 16/17k would be a solid effort and I still wouldn't be surprised if we pushed that initial 19700 allocation close.

(Two people that were struggling have just informed me that they're sorted and going!).

The prices of some of those coaches you can get two nights in Reading/Luton in a decent enough hotel, it's crazy.

We're also staying in Luton for two nights, and by staying I mean dumping our bags in a room, going to St Albans for Saturday and then in London for 8am for the match.

It’s an absolute shambles.

Let’s not forget of course this game was originally pencilled in for the Saturday.

I’d kept that Saturday free just in case but agreed to work this Sunday ages ago. I’ve managed to get the Sunday off now but only found out late this afternoon and now all the trains are fully booked because there are barely any that can get you in for an early kick off.

So I’m going to have to go down the day before and spend a ridiculous amount on a hotel.

And you guys have got it even worse than us.
