Any response from Lincoln fans?

What a shocker and I spent a fiver to watch!

Getting pumped 5-0 away at Boston and down to 10 men after a young kid got sent off.

Squad a fair way from been completed with kids and trialists (who aren't going to be taken on) helping us to fulfill a squad. Still, 3 weeks to go and same as last season we'll play the waiting game to get the right players in for the right price. We don't have the financial clout or willing to sign players early on who we know won't improve us.

Best news from the day was that MA has come through his operation and fingers crossed results from the tumor are favorable so he's back in a couple of weeks.

Preseason friendlies mean shit all though*, whoever you select it won’t play out like a normal match.

*except in our case, we’re not currently playing any and transfer embargoed

PSF's mean naff all anyway, but it does feel like we're cutting it a bit fine heading into the new season albeit we obviously had a later end to the season because of the PO's.

No senior 'keeper yet, one RB, players missing etc. Shows how short we are when we've had to draft a handful of 'trialists' in who we have literally no interest in signing. If it wasn't for it being Boston's first game at their new place, I wonder whether we'd have played the game at all tbh.

Pre season means everything, we've won 4 out of 4 and just beat a premier league team. Ready to piss the league.

Crewe have form for decent pre-seasons. This is the League 2 psf table from two years ago:

Got promoted that year as well.

We don't even have a game arranged for next Saturday.
It would appear we have a large number of injuries, still feeling the effects of last season?
Blackpool have signed a lot of players, maybe promotion has made it easier for them to recruit dunno?

Beat wolves 1-0. Long with the goal. Strong team from Wolves in the first half especially with Raul Jimenez making his return.

I was really impressed with Long and Ramsay both settled in really well.

For a preseason friendly, it was a good watch (or am I that starved of live football?).

It also brought home the magnificent things happening around the club. The new “big screen” which is ace, the magazine (good read), the work going on around the ground and even spotted one of those fake sun lights for the pitch. All stuff that should have happened years ago but it shows what a strangle hold Norman Hassall had on this club and how he was letting it literally rot.

Also fantastic tribute to Andy Scoffin. I never met him but his name was synonymous with the club and he probably deserves an even greater tribute of some sort in the coming months.

Looking forward to the Stoke match on Tuesday which will have another aspect placed on it. Hope everyone turns up in force for Ashton Hulme and digs deeps.

We played Friday night and Saturday afternoon, using all the squad and some youngsters.

Friday we beat Oxford City, on their artificial surface 3-2 in a decent game using 22 players. 2-0 up with 5 mins to go, they scored two, we went up the other end and won it.

Saturday we played Salford, at our training ground, using all of our squad and a number of the Under 18s. It was a weird 3 x 45 minutes game. We were 2-1 up after 90 minutes, then put most of our Under 18s on for the final 45 minutes (against their First Team squad players) and scored another 4 (including a hat-trick for young 16 year old prospect Gatlin O'Donker) so running out 6-1 winners overall.

We're still looking for another 5 or 6 signings, mostly left sided, so will hopefully start much stronger than we have for the last three seasons.

Apparently we beat Burton 3 or 4-0 at St Georges Park in a closed door friendly according to ex Pompey player Andy Turner. Palace pulled out due to not having enough players to play 2 teams in 2 days

Any Bolton fans know why our friendly with them is in Leyland? is it not a first team fixture?

Maybe both pitches have been re laid. We have yet to play at home and our only pre season home game is 31st July against Blackburn.
It certainly will be Boltons first team squad. Up to now Evatt has played two teams per game changing the entire team at half time.
Doyle and Politic not involved up to now through Self isolation, though Doyle expected to Start tomorrow

We was supposed to have sent a team to Bamber Bridge but that is off through several staff isolating

Fair enough, probably just less financial risk for both clubs.

Up until last year, was always our reserve & academy match venue.

We’ve used it for first team friendlies in the past too.

Tidy ground, good pitch.

We’ve sold our allocation, will be nice to see Wanderers back in action!

Away at Wakefield tonight, trialists and youth again as the isolation period doesn’t end until Thursday

Aye, we've sold our 1,100 too, didn't even know the place held over 2k, doesn't seem it.

Another 2-0 loss today this time to West Brom.

Not bothered about the result, Windass went off injured so hopefully that’s not too bad. Would be a big miss.

We have Swansea tonight, the first of three Championship sides. Yesterday we had sold 2,200 seats, with 120 for away fans. The game is also being streamed live on Argyle TV. We have recently left ifollow and I think this is a test for our tv systems.
PS its blooming hot down here.

Lost 3-2 to Stoke this evening. Was a strange game, we were absolutely trash for the first 55 minutes and so and were lucky to be only 3-0 down. For the last 35 minutes, we were excellent and were probably unlucky not to get back level.

We were caught off guard with Stoke going blood and thunder whilst our weakend team turned up for a kick about in the sun for charity.

Enjoyed the second half though. Based on that alone, I am now going to insist that Onyeka is the next big thing.

Drew 3-3 with Brizzle City. 2-1 up with first 11. 2nd 11 went 3-2 down then we had to use one of their players due to an injury. He scored the equaliser..

Lost 2-1 to Swansea last night, but had far more chances than them and really should have won. Our strikers need to take their chances, a couple of easy-ish ones squandered. Overall, our defence looks much better than last year. But the result does not really matter, the big thing was that there were fans in attendance. woo hoo. The away fans sang It‘s coming home most of the game.
