For some reason, our pre-season friendly at York on July 21st has been cancelled.

All it says on our OS is "Due to circumstances beyond the control of either club" so no idea why it's actaully been called off.

For the second summer in a row, we're playing La Liga surprise package Girona! They were an impressive outfit last time, but we didn't expect them to be beating Real Madrid a few months later! :D

Anyone else moved their Saturday friendly to an earlier or later kick off? We've done so for our game with local neighbours Nantwich and I see a few others have as well. Anyone stupidly keeping theirs at 3pm?

Rangers away on Friday night for us. Don’t think I’ve ever/ever will be more excited for a friendly game.

We will probably get pumped, Gerrards first game and all that.. but not many will be able to say they’ve seen their team play at Ibrox.

Getting the train up early doors, 3 hours direct... plenty of drinks pre-match in the sun.. Saturday stay in Glasgow and watch England game (risky I know).

35,000 tickets sold and we net half the gate receipts so I’m told as it was originally supposed to be a home game.

Unlikely I know but I hope it somehow strikes some sort of bond between the clubs and we can get some loan players off them in the future or possible return friendlies.

We played our 1st game today, a behind closed doors game vs Wigan. We won 1-0 Chris Porter with the goal.

Looking forward to seeing us lift the league 2 trophy in May now.

We beat Cirencester 3-1 last night in a game featuring A-H Trialist.

Shamir Mullings, a striker sacked by Forest Green Rovers got the first and Cascadia internationalist Max Oldham scored the second (sign him up!).

Keshi Anderson scored the third.

Ex-Plymouth keeper Luke McCormick played a half. It sounds like Stuart Moore has rejected his contract offer and hence the needs for a competent second keeper.

Tell me more. Clearly he's rubbish right? What did he do to get sacked?

Looks like he should be a good player. Big, strong and quick. But he isn't.

Second touch is a tackle, composure in front of goal hilarious, plays like he's wearing clown shoes. He did score once, which shocked everyone including him.

Not sure on the sacking, but I do know he was sent back after a few days of going out on loan to Macc due to "unforeseen injuries". These injuries were allegedly picked up in a pub brawl literally a day after we agreed the loan.

Tbf he is a top lad though, and he did well at Chelmsford so he might have something about him. We certainly never saw it though. Looked out of his depth in the Conference.

Brave fella getting into a brawl with him, he looks extremely well built!

I think we are looking for a big strong target man so we'll have to see how his trial goes but he does sound like this level is probably too much of a step up.

Yeah he signed on loan for us, then sent back 3 days later after having a fight somewhere down south over the weekend he signed for us!

We got Nate Blissett instead, who is probably a much better player, which says a lot about Mullings ability I guess.

We got going with a behind closed doors friendly against WBA yesterday - we lost (don't know the score) after taking a first half lead through Mo Eisa.

What’s the betting they don’t give you the money quickly, Rangers are skint and already have lots of unpaid bills. The season ticket money that they have just got in is keeping them afloat.

You could swap Bury for Rangers and that would still make sense.

Plated Bury at Carrington, won 3-0 apparently
Lowe out.

Also interested as to who we would have played in that game as we have a friendly tonight at Rangers.

Rangers 6-0 Bury FT

Safe to say we got blown away. Rangers were class tonight and fielded a strong side.

41,000 in attendance.

You've embarrassed the country. The SPL is meant to be shit, they finished mid table and yet they've handed you your arses on a plate.

We won 2-0 at Brimscombe & Thrupp tonight, Reuben Reid got both.

Still haven't launched our new kit so we wore our training gear for the game apparently.

With our games away at York and Rotherham cancelled on Police advice we now have games penciled in against Galatasaray and Wisla Krakow.

Apparently not enough Police to staff our game at Rotherham, I can’t remember there ever being any trouble at a Rotherham v Grimsby fixture and even less likely to happen being a friendly.

Absolute fucking Bell ends.
