It looks like a full line up of young lads for us tonight, although if we win it can still go in the table. ;)

Elvis is not a happy bunny. From his gestures and what I can make of his yells 'mair agreassive' he wants us to get forward more. I would have to agree. The only attacks we've made are when Scougall or McKirdy go for a run

Tranmere have hit the bar again. Would have been a lovely goal but the finish just not accurate enough. Straight from that we could have scored but mellish found himself in the box and didn't know what to do with it

2-0 Thomas. Not a bad goal, McKirdy this time bringing it forward. Thomas not quite finding space but was strong enough to hold off his man when the pass came and finished pretty well.

How’s your defender up front doing?

Half time. We're 2-0 up though Tranmere have hit the bar thrice. Thomas scored both goals. Not very dominant up front, but he improved as he got a bit of confidence. Could have had a third if Mellish had any final delivery from the good positions he got himself into and we've also looked shaky at the back.

I reckon if Thomas comes out for the second half and does well then he could be offered a contract before the final friendly.

We’re currently 4-0 up in 2 games away at Whitchurch Alport and Bala Town, 8 different scorers too. Might as well swap us with Bury now.

Second half, Hayden and Branthwaite on for Webster and NKP. Hayden in his normal position then and Thomas stays on. Youth team player Charters and triallists Sagaf and Brunt on in midfield for Jones, Scougall and Bridge

All kids and triallists on both sides now, so we'll have a 2-0 win please for the table. Thomas could have had a hat trick, a good ball to him, finally, from Mellish, about a yard out but just not enough space to get a shot away. Tranmere haven't hit the bar so far this half

All gone a bit mental now. Josh Galloway, the last outfield player from the starting line up finally brought off with a painful looking knock, and we've gone 3-0 up through a moment of quality from young Lewis Bell.

We split our squad in two again for two friendlies. One team beat Alfreton 4-1, Matty Lund with a hat trick and Alex Gilliead with the other. The other team beat Frickley 4-0, Kevin Van Veen with a hat-trick and George Hornshaw with the other goal.

Carlisle favourites for play-offs as suspected then.

We could sign Nathan and Kwame Thomas on the same day

Nathan Thomas is at Gillingham now
He’s not. Steve Evans has tonight confirmed that he’s left them as he couldn’t settle and looks set to return to Carlisle.

He was at the match tonight, sat on the bench with Pressley and the players.

3-0 at full time. Tranmere were the better team first half though. Hit the bar thrice and controlled the game for long periods. Our goals were both on the break and about individuals rather than teamwork. Still, much better than the Fleetwood game. We don't press forward at all but there is quality when we do manage to get forward.

Second half we were better and after the kids came on better still. Tranmere seemed to be mostly triallists at that point and our kids were just a bit more lively.

The three senior outfield players left on in the final half hour were triallists Hayden, Sagat and Brunt. Don't know what villa are trying to pull with this Brunt lad but he barely seemed to figure despite being one of the few senior players on the pitch. Sagat, the triallist fr Braintree was quite good, very small for a defensive midfielder but strong in the tackle and placed some nice passes. Hayden likewise, although you can't really judge him when surrounded by academy players like that, he at least played well, unlike Brunt

Bully for us then, I'll raise a glass to Steve Evans for being a twat who would test Gandhis patience

We're battling to what could be a vital point and clean sheet away at Leek Town in our fight against pre-season relegation.

Finished 0-0. Good practice for our plan for an entirely goalless (scored and conceded) season.
