No Prison in Bolton. It is Only a Town unlike the Sprawling City that is Preston.
Tell me again why your crowds are less than ours at the state of the art Deepdale???
Pretty simple.

We haven't been in the top flight since the 60's whereas you spent about a decade in the Premier League recently.

The fact we average 16,000 with 60 years of pretty much nothing to shout about is pretty impressive. Hard to say what yours or Blackburn's crowds would be right now in similar circumstances.

Bolton is also a much bigger place than Preston if we're going down that route.

Most of the people living in Preston are students aren't they?

Not most, but a reasonable percentage in the centre. Think the campus is 27,000 but obviously a lot of them will commute.

We've never done much marketing to the students which I think is daft. Should be selling half price tickets on campus for run of the mill league games.

Won 3-2 at Chester, with goals from Che Gardner (son of Ricardo, and godson of Usain Bolt, if you're interested), Kyle Wootton and Lewis Bate.

More importantly, Will Collar withdrew before kick-off due to injury and trialist Jordan Rossiter went off injured shortly after beginning. After picking up literally over 4 years' worth of injuries last season, it seems we mean to carry on in the same vein. Goodness knows what they're doing at Carrington

Have County taken over the ex City/Bury version of Carrington?

That must be disappointing for you, don't you normally beat them 11 nil?

Our final PSF is at home to Fleetwood. Exactly what we need, home game against a team i'd consider nearer the top of l2 a week before the season starts.

We only started pre-season properly yesterday which seems later than many teams.

Going to Portugal this time round playing Chelsea U21.

Looks like we have a game lined up against Spurs first team on Saturday behind closed doors before we fly out to Portugal on Sunday.

Annihilated Tiverton 2-1 in our first friendly.

Went behind but came back with goals from Caleb Watts and Sonny Cox.

Typical pre season game with players getting 45 mins each. Liked the look of Josh Magennis up front and encouraging performance from Pedro Borges who’s hopefully going to break into the first team more regularly this season.

Won 1-0 with Makama getting us the only goal of the game within 2 minutes. Both sides virtually changed the XIs at half time. Good workout in 30+ degree heat. Everyone bar 3 of our injured players took some part in the game, still potentially maybe 3-4 more to come in.

Always nice to beat that nice man Mr Lowe!

Lots of good memories particularly the night of 2nd May 1990 and when I was mascot during our rare appearance in the 2nd tier

Glad other teams realise he's a twat.

Hope we have a shocking start to the season just to get rid of him.

Lost 1-0 to Oldham.

Two weeks into pre-season and we’ve got nine players out injured. The injury curse continues.

First PSF played, a 5-1 win at Hanley. Different team each half and a few of the youngsters got minutes. Only worrying thing is Elliott Lee going off injured after 15 minutes - hopefully just a precaution.

A nice warm up before flying out to the States.

DESTROYED Scottish Premier League club Jam Tarts of Midlothian 2-1. The Invincibles Season is still on.
1000+ away fans as well, decent day and turnout for ourselves.

Played 2 different sides in each half with Jordan Brown and Dallang Jayasemi getting the goals.
