I had realised it was a Hibs song but I just couldn't stop singing it. My excuse, and I'll take the lie story to my grave, is tiat you have to wind up the opposition.

We demolished Hull City* 6-1 today, that’s CHAMPIONSHIP side Hull City**
Ok it’s only a friendly but I think it’s about time you all started looking at us as a real threat this season as you don’t go to Hull City*** and win 6-1 by fluke.
Fear us.

To be fair, while we did play a lot of senior players plenty of young 'uns played too. Goundry, Tomlinson, Essel and Khouri all played and did well by the looks of the Hull Academy Twitter feed. Which is all we have to go on so it's the foremost important report on this match.

Gave Marske a 3-0 thrashing, this tartan army is unstoppable.

Two different elevens for each half, including 5 Trialists and a couple of youth teamers.

Our 2 teams drew 0-0 away at Maidstone and lost 2-0 away at Potters Bar.

We put in a rather timid attacking display at Potters Bar, didn't create much and also missed 2 good chances. After the second goal we lost a player through injury and had no subs left and tbh just gave up, game could've been more than 2-0.

All of our attacking players are out injured: Harry Smith, Aaron Drinan, Paul Smyth, Theo Archibald and Ruel Sotiriou went off injured this evening. On top of that we have two of our central midfielders out injured as in Ethan Coleman and Jordan Brown.

Wellens getting frustrated because these injuries are now taking their toll on us because our teams are mish mashed together and our attacking play is clearly limited with up to 5 first choice attacking players injured.

First half goals from Alistair Smith and a trialist saw Sutton beat Dulwich Hamlet 2-0.

Lost 2-0 to Cardiff at the athletics stadium near their ground. Looks a good crowd, sensibly sold only to home supporters to deter an element of our support still stuck in the 80s.

Won 3-1 at Spennymoor, still a few questions to answer, Huddersfield at the weekend might see more of what the first team looks like

Hearts won 2-1 against Tranmere at Prenton Park. It very much looked like a game of 2 halves based on the highlights posted on Hearts Twitter.

Only pre-season friendly I ever bother with!
is Matlock the one with the cricket pitch behind one goal or was that Buxton? - it must be 20-30 years since i've been to either of them.

We completely demolished Luton Town 1-2 in a behind closed doors affair yesterday in a game that was played… somewhere.

We are going to Tenerife for some warm weather training.

FC Tenerife are coming to Cleethorpes for hot weather training (this sentence is a lie).

Was it Matlock where it all kicked off a few years back with some horrendous tackles and GBH?!

Ilkeston I think you are referring too, John Thompson looked like he had been attacked by a pitbull!

Yeah right next to a cricket pitch at Matlock and the river derwent is a stone throw too.

Looking forward to our trip to York on Saturday - over a 1,000 sold.

Decent surroundings, great city, fantastic weather and new stadia.

Train at 10am, coming back at 9pm.

Yes, I’ll be wankered.
