Hearts won 2-1 against Tranmere at Prenton Park. It very much looked like a game of 2 halves based on the highlights posted on Hearts Twitter.
We were the better side in the first half, but faded in the final thirty minutes when we brought youngsters on.

Hearts finished third in the SPL last season, but were about the same standard as a reasonable League One side.

Indeed. Hibs are my Scottish team, so a bit biased. But when that's belted out it's pure class.

Dammit, thought I had seen the back of Hobos when I left Edinburgh! It's a great football song to be fair, I was fortunate to not hear it too often in the flesh as most of the Edinburgh derby games I went to resulted in the correct scoreline. :)

We have Spurs U21s at home tomorrow. Looks like we will be able to field some sort of a forward line at least.

I see some clubs have already started calling games off on Tuesday due to the extreme heat forcast, we have Portsmouth at home - you have to wonder if we will move the game.

That and both the youth some of the more experienced lads being played out of position; Chris Merrie as central defender for example. It illustrates that, at this stage, we're short of cover outside a fairly strong starting xi

We are at Alfreton today (15:00 Kick-Off); I haven't a clue if it'll be all 1st team squad or a blend. It does appear there are a few supporters travelling for the game though (10's not 1,000's).

Dale at Darlo today. I assume Ethan Ebanks-Landell has picked up a knock as he's not included. Three Trialists on the ten-man bench, not including a goalie as first year pro Brad Kelly in included.

10 man bench, bloody hell we should be so lucky, we've got a four man + one trialist bench , light on numbers indeed!

As well as the three Trialists and young Kelly, the other six are the just-signed Seriki and Henderson, player-coach Jim McNulty, youth team defender Paddy Watts, plus Sam Graham and James Ball.

Hearts 2-2 Crawley

2-0 at ht and lots of passing around at the back by us. Trelford got 2 in the second half and Nichols missed a hat trick of great chances so I'm presuming we got the ball forward a bit more.

Meanwhile, by the pool in La Rochelle with cool beer and dark sunglasses so the missus can't see where my eyes are focused. It's a tough life.!

Won 2-1 at Darlo.

Hazel gave Darlo the lead, Devante Rodney equalised a couple of minutes later and, inevitably, sub Ian Henderson marked his second Dale debut with the winner.

Won 4-0 at Alfreton: Most likely started with our best available 11, one or two others not deemed fit enough yet; they all played for nearly 70 minutes before the subs came on.

Gate of 407, mostly Town fans.

Split our squad into two teams over the last two days.

Our squad players with a couple of likely opening day starters beat Chorley 5-0 last night and our stronger team won 2-0 against a Man City Development side this afternoon.

1-1 home to Lincoln, for a pre season game it was okay actually, had a few chances after equalising to get the winner, but we are so desperate for bodies it's unreal, 2 weeks till kick off and 15 fit players, turns out the trialist wasn’t Ben Tollitt after all? Eyes are garbage these days.

People were dishing out crazy rumours left right and centre today, from Sweeney being refused the Academy position, Raj holding onto funds for transfers until the end of the transfer window and him valuing the club at £7m and pricing out two interested parties.

We drew 1-1 at home to Morecambe with 779 fans in. Decent result that. Our goal was from midfielder Declan Weekes , who was joint highest goal-scorer last season.

Drew 1-1 at home to Weat Brom. Decent result considering we had 8 first teamers out injured and West Brom were at full strength.

Rovers won 1-4 at Southport in front of just over 1k. Goals from Hemmings, McAlear, a trialist striker and Hawkes. The trialist only lasted about twenty odd minutes before going off injured, something of a pattern developing here…
