Fans are gonna love Niang I reckon, proper no nonsense player, Hastie looks a talent, very lively, loves running at defenders, like a stocky version of Mols, should've scored twice today, had a one on one saved after bursting through, Umerah looks a unit, had a great shot saved in the first few minutes, but tired as the game went on.

It's a friendly and it doesn't mean a lot but it was a good watch, can see Hartley wants them to play quick football, pass go move, we're not a million miles away with the players we have we're just clamouring from some depth, gonna need another 6 for me to be in a comfortable position going into the first game.
I didn’t go yesterday, but most fans seem pretty upbeat with what they saw.
Hopefully another 3 in this week & we’ll be getting somewhere.
Any idea what the attendance was.

It was about 1200 odd? That was the last pre season game for me, can't make Blackburn and Sunderland will be chocker with plastic Mackems, sold out the town end.

New Millhouse seats looked fantastic but the Rink End ones still not been fixed to my knowledge?

Ricardo Santos did gift you 2 of the goals though - same as he did last time you played Bolton at home.
Santos has been sloppy off the pace in all the pre-season games.
He has spells like that hence why he is not playing in the premier league.
Made the pfa players team of the year the last two seasons so its just a case of perservere until he comes good again

Not bothered about fixing the Rink End seats.
I don’t really care about the away fans & if I had my way,I’d remove the roof & let them soaked when it lashes down.

1,200 with just under 100 Lincoln fans for some reason!

Bootham Crescent style and the mad dash that used to follow for the 100 or so covered seats to the side!

Our game at home to Portsmouth tomorrow is now BCD due to the heat. But is free to watch on youtube - if our streaming system can actually work!

Lost 1-0 at home to Fleetwood. Sounded a bit of a spicy game, one challenge resulting in a red card for us. By the sounds of things Fleetwood made a few bad ones of their own which went unpunished, but Seb Stockbridge was the ref so make of it what you will. Lost another couple of players to injury, they are worringly racking up for us again just as they did at the start of last season.

Josh Gordon was the one sent off - ref was useless

Lost 5-2 to Portsmouth. Scored a great own goal you'd see down the park to give Portsmouth the lead.

Played two different teams in each half, first half I thought we did well to stay in the game and good to see Paul Smyth score for us.

Second half it was the Portsmouth first team against our youngsters, 2 trialists and 2 players coming back from long term injury for the first 20mins of it and they quickly scored 2 more to seal the win.

We still need bodies in, our squad is very paper thin with youngsters and we still have injuries to key attacking players.

We are currently beating Charlton u23 3-2. The game is being played at East Grinstead's ground (the next town east of Crawley).

I just looked up the clubs twitter feed and came across this beauty of a description.

"It’s a precise corner in from Trialist which meets the head of a diving Trialist as the ball sails into the net".

Which is like a marketing blub. It's all true but tells you nothing useful at all!

I also loved...

"After scoring four at this ground last time, Trialist finishes off a quality move with a perfect curling strike from outside the area after some neat touches inside. "

Which I take to mean that trialist should definitely sign for East Grinstead fc as he does really well at their ground.

Won 4-1 at Scunny, with all the goals coming in the second half. Liam Kelly, two from Tyrese Sinclair and Abraham Odoh with the fourth.

One trialist sub. Involved in the build up to a couple of the goals (per twitter) so might be pursued. Also a late sub appearance for one of our academy lads, a 16yo who may not have left school...

Beat Sunderland 2-0. Comfortable outing.
My boss is a season ticket holder at Sunderland and has been mentioning it since it was announced, I down played it thinking we’d get a tonking. My tune will be firmly changed in the morning. Regardless of it not being their strongest 11 we also had 5 out injured and 9 academy graduates in the squad. This they need some signings as of the ball fell to anyone but Threlkeld for two of the late chances it would have been 4-0. Pre season means little but their commentary team were getting frustrated near the end.
