We've actually weakened in this window so unless we get in a couple of good signings tomorrow, I really can't see us getting into the top 6. Every other team chasing those top 6 places has either strengthened or already had a stronger team than us.

I'm a little concerned aswell, Tom.

I still think we'll have enough for 6th with Micks leadership, but the order certainly got a little taller in the last week or two.

I can't see it to be honest, an injury or two and who've we got? Nobody.

I'm beginning to wonder if Micks too comfortable on his job. Happy with the squad he's got despite it being depleted and weaker than the start of the month. 4 have now left this month, admittedly Alabi has only played the once and Henshall never got a shout but I would have felt more confident having young players coming in with something to prove than having nobody!

Surely now is the time to improve and make sure we get that top 6 spot. Then again I was saying the same thing in January last year when we were chasing top 2!

Boro have just sealed their place in the top two with the signing of Jordan Rhodes, if there was any doubt already.

Really impressed with Sheff Wednesday's transfer window, reckon they'll be the team to win the playoffs.

Things could look quite different for the teams chasing the playoffs after this week. Ipswich v Reading and Wednesday v Burnley tonight, then Birmingham v Wednesday, QPR v Ipswich and Cardiff v MK Dons at the weekend. With at least one of Birmingham and Wednesday dropping points, it's a good chance for us and Cardiff to catch up.

Some Sun journalist who I've never heard of reckons Clement could be sacked if we lose tonight.

He won't though, as that'd be ridiculous.

Too right it would. Only on a little bad run still more than enough time to get 2nd.

Garner's brace tonight will end Clement's reign of terror.

That will about double his tally for the season wont it. Shows the gap from our shit league to the championship

He's on three I think, he's playing well in terms of general play but has missed some sitters, he's always needed a few chances before he bags though. Obviously you get less chances in this league, especially with the way we set up. Doesn't help when he's partnered with mounds of shit like Keane and Doyle either.

Hows daniel johnson doing for you. Best player in league one last year imo.

If Derby actually do sack Clement tonight it will make them as bad as us under Fawaz, and that is saying something.

He's class, obviously one of those players that drifts in and out of games and is being asked to do more defensive work than he's used to but you can't argue with his goal return in his first season at this level. Think he's on 8 at the moment, although one might have been in the cup.

Paul Gallagher is still our best player though imo, shame he's the wrong side of 30 now.

3 points clear of third with 2 games in hand, despite the recent blip that is dreamland stuff. Games in hand are Blackburn away and mk dons away. Not the hardest on paper.

Are derby fans still allowed into this thread? I would rather let forest fans in here

It is getting more annoying by the week that their are still two other clubs with us battling for the play-offs. All three of Birmingham, Ipswich and Wednesday are in upward momentum. I wonder if or when Derby and/or Brighton will drop out from the top six?

I anticipate they both will on current signs. Plenty of time for change, though.

Yeah, it's got quite tight over the last few weeks. Only 3 points separating 4th and 8th. Cardiff close behind.

Current signs? We're on a two game winning run.

Up to 3rd if we win on Friday.

Potentially could drop out this weekend.

We're absolutely lost at the moment, worst form in the league surely.

I can see it now.

Forest to make the POs on the last day where Derby miss out, despite them being embargoed and Derby spunking in excess of £25m.
