There’s something strangely satisfying about being called shit every time you beat somebody's team!

Liam I think you and I should quietly leave this thread and hope that nobody notices. UTO!You were poor but didn't need to be great to beat our 10 men, you seem similar to us, great team on paper but very one dimensional. Fair play on the win today anyway is that 7 points from 9?
We will buy those two players off you.Dominant...

This year will be different to the last - Newcastle and Brighton dominated most of the season last time out, can't see that happening this year. Teams will blow hot and cold - it'll be who manages to put a run together at the right time. Wolves by far and away look the strongest team so far then, although it is still relatively early days still.
It's hardly gargantuan is it. Two dodgy games and it's wide open again with the chasing pack up your arse.
The point I'm making is, no 1 or 2 teams look capable of running away with it and being promoted by March, every team with promotion ambition will have sticky spells, it'll be a closer run contest than last year

Except that compared to last season after 13 games, Wolves (29) have 1 point more than Newcastle did (28), and there was no four point gap anywhere in the top half of the table. Both Cardiff and Sheffield Utd have the same number of points as 2016-17's second-placed club.
Two dodgy games in any season and you have clubs overtaking you. At this point, three clubs do seem to be pulling away...and long before Newcastle and Brighton did last year.
Who?They belong to Al Hilal and Athletico Madrid so good luck.

Who?
The proof will be in the pudding, but if you think a 4 point "gap" after not playing every team yet is pulling away, then I want whatever you've been drinking.
Not usYou started this by referring to last season. I was merely stating the facts. There's three-quarters of the season to go. Any of the top ten clubs or more could win this division, not disputing that.
Not us
I think the point is what the table will look like towards the end of the season and I agree that possibly Wolves will have a decent cushion but I don't think the top two will be clear cut at any point until right towards the end but that's just my gut instinct. You started this by referring to last season. It is of course possible, but I'd bet every penny I have that we won't be near the top at the end of the season.Yes, including you. I do agree with him that it's close and that there are a lot of good clubs doing well this season. That there's a gap is indisputable, but there are still 33 games to go. I reckon that down to 8th (Preston) are capable of the top 2 finish, and actually down to about 17th for the play-offs.
As we get into winter, I feel some of the more traditional "tougher" sides...Cardiff, Sheff Utd, Preston, Leeds...will have a better pace, while some of us probably depend on buying one or two players in the January sales...you, Wolves, Villa, Norwich, Derby, Fulham.
We feel strong right now, but injury to Neves, Saiss or Jota could derail our season. We have less depth than many of our fans realise. That much was obvious at the Southampton League Cup match. Although we won that, we played an hour of nervy, uncoordinated football where we were reminded that many in our squad are still not used to 3-4-3.

Start a midtable mediocrity thread and post on there.I'm torn between posting on this thread and the one below it
They beat Leeds 3-0 two games agoEveryone beats you whether it’s 10 or 11 men, no great achievement.
Assume you didn't watch the game we beat you then? You were a good side but we deserved our win, most of your fans seemed to admit it toBest team by a distance again, 10 games now on the bounce where we've been the better side, no sign of the bubble bursting with what I'm watching
