Lee Vaughan was easily one of the best Right Backs in the conference and I'm amazed he wasn't able to make the step up, but even though he hasn't I'm amazed you've listed him. He's got great experience at this level and i'm sure would perform here again

Vaughan would probably walk into near enough every side in this league. I hope we are in for him as well, we haven't had a settled RB since Obeng left 3 years ago.

You lot on here will know about released players before we do. Halifax doesn't do closed season communication until mid July/Early August.

We should be signing Stokes permanently. If not, then he'll be at least league 2.

Vaughan has been a strange one. He can look decent one minute then God awful the next. He's a bit like a headless chicken and the way he lunges into challenges is shocking for a professional footballer. He doesn't seem to have gotten over Paul Buckle's reign when he was frozen out, and told the fans as such in Buckle's last game at Southend. I agree that it is a bit of a surprise to see him listed though.

To be honest, Johnson has already said that if a couple can't find clubs in the summer then they're welcome back, I suspect this is Durrell Berry and Mathieu Manset, but frankly we need a clean sweep as the playing staff is just rotten at the moment.

I'm just glad I won't see Craig Braham-Barrett and Matt Richards in a CTFC shirt again.

Fairhurst is a fairly notable omission there. Is he off elsewhere?

Jamie Grimes and Jasbir Singh have said on twitter they're leaving. Grimes leaving is particularly annoying as he has really developed over the past year and looked like he could be key for next season.

EDIT- Grimes has joined Dover http://www.doverathletic.com/index.php?p=news&id=3033

Is he a southern lad? Says a lot about your finances if he's choosing Dover over you lot - he seemed more than capable when we played you as well. Must be a bit of a hit.

Not as good as Justin Shuttlewood though Ey?
Is their a single player left from the DH reign? Quite a brutal reshuffle especially the dropping off Russell who was clearly one of your best players.

Haha, Shutts was quality, not quite on a par with the legend that is Steve Perrin, but not far off.

Yep brutal is the word, especially the way in which some of those players, who were good pros and nice lads, have been treated. Russell is probably the best keeper we've ever had (along with Porks), far superior to Arnold imo. But Pennock wants his own players, so that's that.

Fairhurst, MBH and Holroyd all missing from the "contracts offered" list, though from the wording in the following paragraph I think they may just be in more deeper discussions. I think MBH may not be offered anything, but would be surprised if the other 2 weren't. I guess its a case of the club trying to understand their demands/expectations and deciding whethers its worth offering anything, and how much.

By my reckoning it is just Bennett, Kelly and Raccine (if he signs the contract on offer), plus the invisible man Brogan, who remain from the Hockaday era. That means that other than them we have had a completely new squad since Pennock arrived and some players have come and gone in that time.

You're right it is just the 3 (technically 4 for now) who've survived, providing Racine signs.

I think with the invisible man you mean Barry. Brogan was released last year and signed for Southport, before leaving to join Stalybridge later in the season. Barry is under contract but will almost certainly be on his way this summer, probably by mutual consent.

We've had a huge turnover of players during the last 18 months.

Ha, that invisible that I had even forgotten his name. A bit of an odd case as Pennock made him club captain when he arrived, then shipped him out at the first possible opportunity, I would be amazed if we ever saw him play for us again. But, expecting the unexpected, he will probably be involved in the pre-season friendlies.

Were the previous players obviously not up to scratch? or not capable of playing in the style Pennock wants? or just bad apples?e I;v

You've let some high quality players go and from what I've seen of him and his excellent handling of the shenanigans at our place, Pennock doesn't seem the type to let ego get in the way.

But hey, maybe I've got it completely wrong on Pennock :bg1:

Not sure where Grimes is from, but losing him is a blow. He really stepped up his game after the departures of Dunkley and Gowling and I was really hoping we'd be able to keep him. Dover is a surprising move, are they part time? Looks like we will be using mostly kids next season.

I think our budget for this season was revealed to be around £300-350k and when we've already got Hodgkiss, Byrne, Verma, Styche and Reid, I imagine they must be well over a third of that budget. Whild has been able to find gems in the past, he's got his work cut out this year!

Just seems a long way to relocate for a part time team. Surprising.

Sure you'll be able to pick up some from all those Brummie teams around you, whether that be lower tiers or youth of the big ones. Plenty of opportunities in your area

Bit baffled by some of ours, tbh:

Players under contract until the end of the 2016/17 season:
Paul Farman
Alan Power

Players under contract until the end of the 2015/16 season:
Jordan Burrow*
Tony Diagne*
Kegan Everington
Aidan Grant
Elliot Hodge
Conner Robinson
Alex Simmons

* made available for permanent transfer or season-long loan

Players out of contract who have been offered new terms for the 2015/16 season:
Hamza Bencherif
Nat Brown
Tom Miller
Jon Nolan

Players out of contract who will not be retained for the 2015/16 season:
Jake Caprice
Todd Jordan
Arnaud Mendy
Sean Newton
Delano Sam-Yorke
Ben Tomlinson

Scholars offered professional terms for the 2015/16 season:
Andy Wright
-------------------------------
Tomlinson and Caprice were offered deals, so I assume they've rejected theirs.

Burrow being transfer listed is a weird one, too. That now means we could lose both our top scorers for next season. :ffs:

I have every confidence in Chris Moyses and his wealth of quality contacts in worldwide football to make Lincoln City F.C. Vanarama National Champions for the season 2015/16. :db:

Only reinforces what I've said really, I don't know why anyone is surprised - we will be relegated with Moyses at the helm.

Lump on everyone.

Wonder if Hargreaves will try and lure Durrell Berry back down here.

Kevin Nicholson has also said he wants a return - I'm not sure on that unless it's a cheap player/youth coach role.

DSY isn't a L2 player.

How has DSY done for you this season? A lot on our forum are admirers as he seems to have a blinder whenever he's played us either for yourselves or Cambridge.
