Was that similar to the same at our end after about 5 minutes that didn't even get a yellow? It all evens itself out at the end of the season...

Similar in the sense that it was a foul, yes. Not similar in the sense that List had a clear run on goal, and your chap was heading towards the corner flag because that's where the ball was heading.

Not that important now anyway though, it was merely an observation of our current fortunes.

I agree, I was actually explaining the difference to some near me when they were questioning the officials 'lack of consistency' in his decision.

Despite Saturday's win and a miracle cleansheet, we are the highest we are going to be all season.

We will spend most of this season in or around this thread.

I thought that we might have been sailing away from this thread, we caught a crosswind on Saturday that has blown us back...

For the first time in many, many, many months we look like we might make a fight of this.

Well I created this in September and we are now 5 points into the relegation zone and rock bottom. Great.

I think you should wait until after Saturday at least. Anyone from 13th down, should consider themselves members.

Our next 2 home games are against Gillingham and Oldham and will probably decide which way our season will go.

Add to our win against Northampton (who were apparently very poor) and we’ll be on our way.

Anything from the Pompey away match at the weekend will be a bonus but we don’t have a bad recent record there.

Still don’t like the tactics!

We're starting to make steady progress, picking up some decent points against decent sides over the last few weeks. Big game at home to Oldham on saturday (we never seem to beat them), before Plymouth (A), Bristol Rovers (H), Fleetwood (A), Oxford (H) and Wimbledon (H) to see the year out. In theory, more or less all of these are winnable games and it's a good opportunity to put some points on the board. I reckon we can get 11 or so points out of these and finish the year on 30 points which given the start we had is pretty extraordinary to be even talking about!

What worries me is our good record against you in recent years has to end at some point.

Since signing Toumani Diagourga we have lost just once in 7 games. Continue that form and we'll be fine. The ridiculous amount of red cards haven't helped at all.

Clearly the sending offs have been a biggy, but we also appear to be going through keepers like knife through butter. We had our three professional keepers all out long term injured, an 18 year old comes on mid-game for his debut. We then sign Remi Matthews from Norwich on seven day emergency, he gets injured on Saturday. He probably only stays on the pitch Tuesday when he was hobbling because the 18 year old got injured on Monday, and we have a 16 year old who has played a handful of under 18 games on the bench. My ten year old is now a keeper, and I told him to be on standby. There is a link between the two, sending offs and losing keepers, I just can't dare say it to tempt fate.

You do know your son’s going to get injured now he’s on standby :bg:

Parking here for a bit.
Think we'll turn it around though.

Judging by today’s performance and our form over the last 10 or so games we won’t be going down. Hopefully we are out of the bottom 4 for good. A good result for us at the franchise puts them right in it too.

I concur. Losing Taylor after fifteen minutes of the first game was big for us. He was immense yesterday and the reason why our midfield had so much room and success. The only worry is will we be able to keep Toums in January when his contract is up. But if we do get Remi back, as rumoured, he is a grade or two up from your average league one keeper that will help a lot.

If we somehow manage to beat Oxford on Boxing Day (another team we have a shocking record against) and an unlikely set of other results happen, we could end up in the top half.

This division is mental !:eyes:
