We looked dead and buried a few weeks ago, now we have given ourselves a massive chance of staying up with recent league form, as said above a win vs Oxford and we could go into the top half that was unthinkable when pennock or Taylor was in charge

 The way we are playing we are well in this. I'll be surprised if you don't beat us Gills considering we have no team organisation, fight or effort.

Fortunately we will be within touching distance of safety in January when I expect us to again invest heavily. Need to get rid of a ton though as our wage bill must be as big as it has ever been. Well known players surely be heading out, bowditch, kasim, revell, amongst those heading out hopefully.

Another stride taken towards the repossession of Gigg Lane today with another impressively bad result. 9 points adrift now for the worst ran club in the EFL.

A very interesting January to come for us.

Keeping Kean Bryan is imperative and Jack Byrne and Eoin Doyle are by far our best attaching threats. All of these have their loan period with us up after our game against Shrews on the 1st.

The great football displayed under Wellens to begin with has stopped and we’ve now got to be looking behind us rather than forward again.

Need this takeover to be completed ASAP to give us a chance of strengthening/keeping the prodigal 3 in Jan. Think that will ultimately decide how our next few months go.

The next three league games will make or break us. Gills and MK away with Southend at home in between. Need two wins imo.

We were quite shit today, left huge gaps in midfield that a better team than Oxford would have exploited. Having said that, Oxford were the better side and really deserved all three points.

An unlikely victory at Oldham on Boxing Day ( our first ever ) has broken a dreadful run of form Bury on Saturday and lets see if the improvement can be continued. This is an extraordinary league with any number of teams eligble for relegation, we all think our club could be in line for the drop, perm any 4 from around 14 or so, and keep your eyes open for one club who will really plummet from February onwards and go down !

3 away wins in the calendar year for us... Not a chance in hell of us staying up this season, I don’t want Hill out obviously but something needs to change, I just don’t understand why we are so bad. On paper we have enough to be finishing at least lower midtable but there’s no way that will happen the way things are going. If we somehow stay up this season I’m sure it will he celebrated like a promotion.

A point not enough for us really. Bottom 4 may be adrift by end of Jan

Lashers are on a massive slide, get them back in the basement division where they belong.

Which makes it even more peculiar your lot didn't try that hard to win it! Would've thought you'd look to todays game as a good opportunity for a win all things considered.

That insipid shit is what we have served up all season. Very little attacking ability or intent. Ardley always looks to defend first. Awful football to watch. If we survive it will be nothing short of a miracle.

Looks like only one place up for grabs maybe. Unless bottom three perform a miracle.

I see Oldham are getting closer to the relegation zone just to make it look even more spectacular when they make the play-offs.

Win the league mate, show some respect to the champions elect.

We really are fucking dreadful. Cobblers have a great chance for 3 points Saturday. Well involved in this relegation battle. Brown seems completely defeated. Need a change

The thing that surprised me the most was that your side did not look bothered from the start. I hope you continue in that form but you can' be that bad for long.

Said it pre-season, but Southend are essentially us from last year. Squad with some good on paper 'names' who either are past it or just not up for a scrap. We nearly went down last year, so every chance Southend will be in the mix.

Its a must win for us really. Out next two home games are you and MK, our next two away are Bradford (who we always lose to) and Blackburn (who i expect us to lose to). Need 6 points from those two home games otherwise the gap between us and safety will be getting too big. Two players in before Saturday hopefully, wingers or strikers.

January is massive in deciding which division we will be playing next season, both in results and who we are able to bring in for the remainder of the season. There is a lot of pessimism around Sixfields but my Claret tinted specs are still on...
