I e been to Tamworth more than once, it is anything but an excellent day out! Awful town, awful ground, awful atmosphere and we will most likely get beat!!

The snowdome's pretty good tbf.

You obviously didn't investigate the amazing pubs in Tamworth.

I was indifferent to who out of Sutton or Colchester went down, but after our match on Saturday, I'm happy if we see the back of Sutton. I get they were playing for their lives in L2 but I haven't seen a dirtier team on and off the ball this season. Come on Colchester.
Their manager is a bell end too.

How many grounds are in a location where you can you can have a few pints and then go skiing or snowboarding?

Plus Tammy the Lamb was a proper laugh. Very angry man.

I've been to Tamworth a couple of times, once for the game on the last day of the season where we were down with seconds to go in time added on until someone (possibly Eastbourne) scored and saved us...completing a bizarre set of results that meant both Tamworth and Rovers stayed up, when I think either or both could have been relegated. The next time I went was a few seasons later with my Brother and eight year old niece, who decided that she would rather go to her first football game than stay at home with her mum, we bought tickets for their seated stand and...for a variety of reasons...I was a bit worried what the welcome might be like, but to be totally honest the home crowd sat around us could not have been friendlier.

Could see that FGR relegation this year coming from even well before their League One relegation was confirmed. How a team can go from winning this league to back to back bottom place finishes without points deductions is utterly beyond me...

Feel for FGR fans, who seem like a sound bunch. But delighted your toss pot of an owner has had this happen to him.

Sutton looking all but doomed as well.

I will say just one thing, it might or might not make sense, to describe our club...a fish rots from the head!

I am a mixture of angry and sad at the moment...I just hope that our fans register their displeasure with what has happened at our last game of the season...though I don't for a moment think it would make any difference.

I can't bring myself to go to the Notts game, it can only be a toxic atmosphere. It's not as if the sound of the south stand has not been "fuck Dale Vince" on previous occasions, anyway. Feel sorry for the few decent and committed players we have who didn't deserve to be caught up in a shitstorm that was always going to happen sooner or later: JMT, Matty Stevens, Dom Bernard as well as a small handful of the more recent arrivals.

Will to go to Morecambe away but am anything but optimistic about a return to the EFL in the foreseeable.

Also sorry to see Sutton go down as I presume they will. (Am much more ambivalent about Col U but reckon they are safe)
While the way they fucked up (over recruitment last summer I gather) seems like a schoolboy error (and similar to ours on promotion to League One ) I can't help but feel that a club with their history really deserved more than three years "in the league". Maybe they will be back. Maybe they can lose the tosser Green Street wannabe element among their fans on the way...

Oh well no more singing "from Barrow down to Eastleigh, now we're in the football league"

It's been mostly fun.

Well that's all from us. Honestly it's a relief as we've looked nailed on for a while.

Not sure all our fans realise what a fucking state we're in. No guarantee things will get a lot better next season, need a total rebuild.

Always sympathy with the fans but can’t say I’ll miss another glorified village team in the league there’s more than enough of them.
Will also look forward to ending this charade that FGR and Sutton haven’t been absolutely nailed on for relegation for 95% of the season, Grimsby/Colchester fans ‘oh it might be us’, no it won’t, it never was, can we stop acting like it was ever an option.

So many teams that drop into the National league end up there not because they've the worst set of players but because the owners either lose focus or run out of money.
It's the worst run clubs that often get relegated.

It's a horrible feeling going to your last game as a FL side, made worse when your opponent gets promoted. Though it's scant consolation that the Forest Green fans won't have to deal with that last bit.
Sorry to see FGR drop and will echo others who've remarked that the posters on here are a decent group and that's been true of their fans I've met at games. Prospects for a quick return don't look good. All the best for the future, who are we going to be able to have a ten page match thread with now...

It's been nailed on for a while and it's not like we weren't a small village team doing well to be in the national non-league division when I started following us. What a colossal waste of money these past few years have been. Maybe someone can write a quick essay on what sustainability actually means and post it to DV?

Given that a couple of weeks ago we were only 2 points clear, and Colchester were actually in the bottom 2, both were most definitely an option.

FGR were never an EFL club. They got there and the brief success from a douche bag rich owner who used them as his play thing to advertise himself and his other businesses. He's an egotistical bellend. Anyone can come to that conclusion just by simply listening to him. Good riddance. The club are back to their natural level of non league. Shame for the fans, I guess. Most are decent from my away days up there - that being said, most are all idiots on here but I guess that's just a vocal minority

Its not what he said that matters. It was the total lack of empathy for innocent victims that matters.
I don't normally bother responding to trolls but you have completely misrepresented what I originally posted, which was:

But do you know what really hacks me off about Dale, his assumption that everyone following the team has the same views and values as him...no we bloody well don't, Hamas are fucking terrorists, they are not freedom fighters!

If you re-read that statement I was calling out Dale for his comment about Hamas being freedom fighters, not terrorists, that is his view and certainly not mine. If you look up the definition of terrorist I think you will find it is a pretty nailed on description of what they inflicted on the people of Southern Israel last October, raping women, kidnapping children and randomly killing people going about a peaceful life.

I did not, I repeat did not, make any statement about the innocent people in Gaza whose lives have been destroyed by the actions of Israel, in response to what was inflicted on them by Hamas.

Piece of friendly advice, before I depart this part of the forum, if you are going to roast someone for a comment they have made...make sure you get your facts right before you post, or you risk making yourself look like a complete and utter tit.

Cheers!

Its been worked out that if Sutton win their final 2 games 1-0 and we lose both ours 0-6 on aggregate then we will be tied on points, GD and goals scored with identical head to head records!

If it were the premier league we would have a head to head game at a neutral ground! But the EFL rules go on games won, then goals scored away, and finally on each clubs discipline record after 42 games!

That means Sutton would be above us having won 11 to our 10!
