What do chester expect? They are lucky to be in the league at all. Can't see it.
McCarthy does look on his last legs though, failure to beat Macc on Monday could well be the end of the line. There were boo's throughout the Sutton game last week and he was arguing with fans during the game. That can't go on.
Possible thougth. Cant see them keeping caldwell if they are still in relegation fight in a few monthNot sure Cox, with his Mansfield history, will end up at Chesterfield!
Why, exactly? What do chester expect? They are lucky to be in the league at all.
I've no idea how or why McCarthy is still in a job to be honest.Harrison from Hartlepool and McCarthy from Chester must be close? Cox waiting to take over somewhere in the not to distant future.
Gary Mills is looking to be in a distinctly shaky position, it won't take many more performances like that for the calls for his head to start in earnest.
14 home games in a row without a win. Didn't even think such a record was possible.
Harrison from Hartlepool and McCarthy from Chester must be close? Cox waiting to take over somewhere in the not to distant future.
In his first seasoin with us, until Christmas I was impressed with Mills. Then we lost 3 in a row over Christmas, and from that point on he seemed to go into meltdown. He broke up the entire team when all that was needed from a team which finished just outside the playoffs was a few additions. He played players out of position and his team was no longer playing football in the manner that he claimed to believe in. He also said he liked working with a small sqaud and then went on to sign multitudes of players - several on loan, who then spent most of their time in the stands. As a Wrexham fan, we have no issue with York but many of our fans resent the mess Mills left us in and also are not very keen on Newton, who appeared to give up once Mills left.Gary Mills is looking to be in a distinctly shaky position, it won't take many more performances like that for the calls for his head to start in earnest.
Aye, some are so upset with Mills and Newton that they keep coming on our forum to tell us all about it. Newton has been great for us, but for all we know that could change should Mills actually leave. The points you make about Mills sound worryingly familiar. We have a squad that should not be losing at home to a FCUM outfit who were as poor as I've seen. Mills' tactics and subs were baffling on Monday - our two best attacking players got taken off and we had Sam Muggleton trying to chuck the ball at Rankine for much of the 2nd half. Once FCUM were wise to that, after the first long throw, we weren't scoring. As a Wrexham fan, we have no issue with York but many of our fans resent the mess Mills left us in and also are not very keen on Newton, who appeared to give up once Mills left.
Fan owned club and all that. Would have been down 1st season had it not been for the reprieve. Darlington fans will be the same once there constant promotion bandwagon ends in the conference premierWhy, exactly?
Bit contradictory isn’t it?Fan owned club and all that. Would have been down 1st season had it not been for the reprieve. Darlington fans will be the same once there constant promotion bandwagon ends in the conference premier
Is there a pattern emergeing with gary mills, one good season followed by a average season (was sure case at gateshead), but like hartlepool surely any sacking so early on would be a bit extreme. At least wait until october is what i say. Early fa cup exits are what often spells the death knell for a manager
I thought that too, Strange thing to say. Why, exactly?

Edit: just seen this has been posted in the Torquay crisis thread!
I agree with their notion. Losing to Hartlepool IS a sackable offence. And the madness begins - Adam Lockwood and Dave Penny sacked

Two teams devoid of confidence, under pressure and playing with the fear of losing. It was grimI agree with their notion. Losing to Hartlepool IS a sackable offence.
I would have left it to 10 games in and given them the chance to turn around our poor form. There are decent players in the squad but we've not been playing as a team or with tactics that suit them.Okay, Guiseley looked hopeless when Aldershot beat them, but fuck me, do Guiseley not remember the position they were in when Lockwood was appointed?! IT'S SEVEN GAMES. Jesus.
