Nah ... we want an exciting, attack-minded manager like er.. Burr. :ffs:
Heath's philosophy only stands up while he's winning. When the winning stops, the scales fall away and the fans suddenly remember they're watching shit every week.:dk:

Hell of a guy. Hope he gets a new club soon.
I think he could still do a job at this level. Here's hoping he doesn't pick a 'doomed' club. Seems like a lottery nowadays.

It was that threadbare squad he had there, nobody could have saved them.

That’s them gone and never to be seen again. Histon Mk2.

I liked Cox when he came in and got us playing effective football up at the top end of the table - doesn't seem to be able to deviate from his tried and tested tactics though, and if the players don't fit it then he's screwed.
Also left a lot of bitterness here because he really was up to dodgy dealings behind the scenes and has left us with a dreadful squad that needed a huge overhaul. Guiseley obviously spent a lot of money to get him out of his Barrow contract, and I feel sorry for the fans who thought they were set up for success, but have likely just helped Cox line his pockets a little more.

Thank f###k for that.
We were woeful last night against a pretty average Gateshead side.
No change in approach or tactics despite the lack of success employing them month after month.
As fans we just want to watch some entertaining football for the rest of the season whilst planning for North football next season.
Cox is the biggest managerial mistake the club has ever made and we've suffered Terry Dolan!

You have to question his ability to spot a player too - I mean, Haworth couldn't get a game here, Ray-Harvey never set the world alight, and Hughes was abysmal for 30+ games under him, yet he signed them all for Guiseley too!

Haworth has rarely played here either, when he does he's more miss than hit. Hughes - rarely played, seems to only be used to challenge for high balls, does little else well. Ray-Harvey has been ok and works hard but he's not as talented as Alex Purver who's not playing enough.
Decent signings are Crookes from Forest, Roberts from Oxford, Southwell from Wickham. Liburd has scored with very little service so I think he will kick on. Harry Flowers has potential too.
It makes me wonder if Cox has some form of commision deal with 'the agent'

Wasn’t convinced about the merits of deciding to go full time halfway through the season or the oversized squad, but hadn’t expected Cox to do that badly.
So who next?

Anybody that prefers the ball stays mostly on the grass will make me happy, any improvement in results will be a bonus.

To be replaced by the next set of Tin Potters presenting themselves as a REAL football club under a cloak of sewn together pound notes. The pattern is the same - arrive astride some flash twat's wallet. After a season or two of "consolidation" you know the shit is soon to hit the fan when they start talking about a "blueprint for the Football League in 3 years". Thus it was with Histon, Alfreton, Grays Athletic et al. Like the others, they'll never be seen in this neck of the wood again. #RealClubsRock :bdick::bdick::bdick:

And we already know who they are. I will give you a clue. They come from near Manchester and are part owned by 5 ex players of a rather large club from the same area.

They probably will but they've thrown away a big lead over Harrogate so I wouldn't be so confident in them.

Heavy rumours in Fishyshire that Askey will be announced as the new Grimsby manager this week. No one has heard anything from our end, would be a right pisser if he left now, part of me really wouldn't blame him though.

Askey "flattered" to be linked with a job but ends up going nowhere?

That means we are now one away from completing Macclesfield season bingo. All that's left is for them to finish in 9th position.

Wouldn't blame him for leaving. The fall out with the chairman has made it much more likely that he really could go this time. We've had as good a season as it's possible for us to have and yet we're still only fourth favourites to go up. For his miracles, the obstacles in place within the club mean that he can never really succeed while he's here. Who would blame him for going somewhere else?

But having said all that, Grimsby just seems a complete misfit. He's always lived locally and seems very attached to the area so it would be strange for him to move to a club a long way away and not in the most attractive of areas. And the club itself is walking into a relegation battle and doesn't seem to give managers long in the job. It's not completely out of the question that Macc and Grimsby could be in the same division next season.

He'd be an idiot to come here, Slade has left us with a sack of shit on the pitch and we are sleepwalking our way back to the National League with no more possible signings.
Also Fenty is a tight arse who always goes for the cheap option so I doubt he will want to pay you any compo so I don't think it'll be Askey anyway.
Rumours today that it's gonna be Phil Brown now.

Edit: Phil Brown offered job but turned it down, seems nobody wants to work under Fenty, can't blame them.

You'd have been better off sticking to Bignot Bingo.

All I know about our new boss is I've spent a lifetime believing Big Mal once shared a bath tub with his porn star sister, Fiona. Having just googled it for a picture I now discover it was another Fiona with different surname. Here's the picture anyways:
