Could do with getting something from this one as our next few games look horrendous on paper.
It's come to something when a game against the league leaders possibly looks the easiest on paper of the next five!

Forest Green (Home), League
Swindon (Away), League
Port Vale (Away), League
Sheff Wed (Away), PJ Trophy
Lincoln (Away), FA Cup

We have lost two home games, against Swindon and Port Vale, both of whom pressed high up the pitch and didn't allow us too much time to settle on the ball and build attacks...I guess they were a bit more physical than some of the teams we have played but I might be confusing that with the tactics they used. However the approach you describe sounds similar to ours, so we might get a really entertaining game that is end to end and high on skill...or one where both teams just sit back and admire the opposition.
We also tend to press high but look uncomfortable when teams do it to us. That's one thing I see at this level a lot more, teams are better at that and you get less time on the ball. We don't really do the sit back thing so should be a decent watch, happily take a point all day long. How many do you think you'll bring?

We do have quite a few more northerly based fans and given that it is a few weeks since we have had a game I would expect the away following to be around 153...but it could be as high as 157...a few weeks ago we had 161 at Orient for a Tuesday night game, which was pretty decent.

This is weirdly specific Greenacres, have you spoken to everyone individually :D
It is a little isn't it...but for most away games our attendance is something in the region of 150-160...except the bigger or more local ones. I think we probably have a hardcore of around 100 fans who go to every game, regardless of where it is, which is boosted by people like me who go to just a few away games every season.

My first visit to the Memorial for the battle of the Rovers. My away record watching TRFC has been dismal, over a decade since seen us win a competitive game away from home, usually go 3-4 matches each season. Not hopeful of things changing. The Gas will be on a high after their cup exploits in midweek, while we’ll set up very defensively and hope to grind a result out. One positive is Sunderland loanee Josh Hawkes recovered from a hamstring injury, will offer more than Feeney down the left if he’s fit enough to start.

Hopefully we will not have too many after effects from last night. Look forward to seeing which Carlisle player we will target for sending off as according to Adams that's what wins us games.
If you do fancy having a go at that, Abrahams looks to have a sending off in him. Not got one yet but he does get involved in barneys with defenders a lot.

Stop going. Its difficult enough without adding to it with your obvious curse. Go to Bolton away games. Much more productive use of your jinxness. You know it makes sense.

Confirmed now James Wilson out with a broken foot for weeks, huge huge blow... at a key time of the season with lots of games but a chance for Rodney now to get some games behind him and hopefully find last seasons form.

Eurgh. I knew our season was going too well. This is where it all goes tits up. We now have zero presence up front and need to somehow rely on pace.

Got to hope Proctor isn't far away as we coped when Wilson was in and out getting fit early season well enough, until that point its time for Rodney to step up and probably go 3 forwards rather than 2 with Worrall and Amoo supporting Rodney. Loads of pace but need Rodney to step up and hope his poor form was that heel injury.

Had never seen Rovers win at Wembley until Connor Jennings 119th minute heroics. My luck’s got to change sometime with away games!

Notlob away no thanks! I’d rather go and watch one of my local teams, non-league preferably. Stalybridge aren’t too far away and even have Jake Burton on loan.

We got a lot of players back, then we played Stevenage and lost quite a few important players for Saturday, Maris, Lapslie, Johnson, Gordon all expected to miss out.

How this season rolls.

Expecting a really tough game Saturday, hopefully we can bounce back from the Newport result and keep our decentform up.

Slightly worried about what Tuesday nights game will have taken out of the legs of Liddle and Featherstone who are both clocking on, but important to us.

As others have said above.. tough run of fixtures coming up, need to start it off with a positive result.

Not taking enjoyment in your run of form as it’s not any of my business but at least it’s not just mansfield that haven’t been ravaged by injuries

This is prove it time for Rodney now. He’s getting the opportunity to be the main man up front so it’s up to him whether he takes it. Personally in terms of lineup I wouldn’t be against going with Rodney up top and Politic just behind and just give both of them license to run at the likes of Piergianni.

At least one thing in our favour is we do share the goals around and not just reliant on one man. Will miss Wilson’s intelligence more than anything.

agree politic is a must start for me, he could play that wilson role of dropping deeper and running directly at them.

as for the other striker, probably favour rodders slightly but wouldn't be against amoo starting either

Why wouldn't they? 2nd bottom vs 2nd?

Yeah we've got some injury problems up top but that won't affect much from a betting perspective.

No Angol or Cook for us tomorrow which means our striking options are Robinson and Lavery. Coupled with Northampton's decent defensive record and I'm not confident.

0-0 or 0-1

I could understand slight favourites, but Vale away, 3 key players missing and improving performances from Oldham, I didnt expect it to be almost 3/1 for the home side.

We're 2nd. They're 23rd.

We've lost 1 in 10 visits to Oldham.

We've only lost once away since the opening day.

Their club is a shambles.

I think that covers it. :D
