I think the new home kit is really good to be honest, less red and more black in it than previous years!

An eventual introduction for our kits:

Pretty standard though the home kit may look nicer on some players than others. There’s something off about the away kit, maybe red stitching. They’re a bit like those lines they had on the mid-2000s shirts.

We also have a third kit available in hot stripey pink.

I'm liking the home kit, but the away kit looks like it took them about 3 minutes to design.

That Grimsby away shirt is literally the same design as all of our kits in 16/17...

Edit: and the home shirt is the same neckline as our 17/18 shirts too, just with a collar.

Don’t like any of our new kits, pink one the best of a bad bunch but I don’t see why we need 3 new kits every year anyway.

Now I hate pub quizzes with a passion, but one of the hardest questions that one can pose is to show a pic of any Grimsby home shirt and ask if anybody can correctly guess the year it was released. That's a real toughie 'cos all Grimsby shirts look the same, but that's only to be expected when dealing with any club that always has to stick to stripes no matter what.

Still, I think the new home shirt does look good, and so far the Mariners are just inside the play off spots. OTOH, I'm not a fan of the blue one (looks sunday leagueish to me), and while the third one's design is decent enough, it's in fcuking pink - and pink (like purple) is one of those colours that one either hates or hates. No two ways about it.

Bur that's not all. As if releasing a needless third kit wasn't bad enough,it also looks exactly like last year's purple one.

Grimsby have had some decent kits, different to usual, loved their two tone blue one a couple years ago.

We are allegedly back with Errea after a year with BLK so hoping they do their usual decent kits for us this year.

Grimsby home kit is decent. Classy and not tinpot. Errea don't do tinpot to be fair.

Rumours of a budget cut intensify after we get the groundsman to grab a pic on his flip phone and say that'll do.

We had that Mansfield kit back in 1842/43 IIRC, but in black and amber, and with a different sponsor of course. How time flies...

It looks very rugby league to me...but guess the Mansfield fans will like it.
That's exactly what I was going to say, very much a rugby league top. Average at best.

Sneak peak of ours. Home kit looks very basic, away kit looks more like a vale away kit.

Like the look of our kits. As long as the home shirt isn't like the Doncaster style aberration of 2016-17 I don't mind them. Also nice to try out a different colour for the away kit. Getting bored of the same old white/black/blue kits now.

That should have a spot in the tinpot thread purely for having the words ‘tantalising teaser’ in the description.
Its a bit like trying to sell a pair of shoes by showing a pair of trouser legs ,really tinpot

Bit of Black and Gold, hey.
Navy mate, get yourself into specsavers.

From what I’m seeing the majority don’t like the look of the away kit, I disagree, looks nice to me, it’s taste though ay...

Home kit looks so bland, back to just the red and white. Navy needs to be a staple of every home kit, red, white and navy are our colours. Look at Stoke’s kits, red and white, always proper boring. Sheffield United, add the navy and all of a sudden the red and white stripes look good.

Agree with this I much prefer our kits with the gold trim, we ditched it for a while at the turn of the millennium and they looked to bland for me, some of our best times had the gold trim.

Black white and Gold all the way.
