Well, he'd only played 2 test innings before this so his average wasn't of any relevance. I haven't seen much of him but he's a 25 year old who is batting at 5 for India and averages over 50 in First Class cricket so it's probably safe to say he's got some ability.

Couldn't agree more, if there is doubt over his action then why is he with the Lions and not at home working on it? Biggest cop out for the worst selection decision for a very long time.

Back to the match, that is a fucking disgrace from England. Some of the shots played today defy belief, Moeen in particular. As well as Jadeja bowled that wasn't a 7-48 wicket. Some hard questions need to be asked of Strauss and Bayliss after this shambles of a tour.
