While I agree Corby probably won't win an election it still has a lot of ifs and buts, the Election won't be won for Labour by winning England its going to be won by Winning Scotland and his views will appeal to the Scots more if he does stick to his guns.

I still firmly believe a Tory majority wasn't won on people wanting the Tories in full power, but because they feared the SNP anywhere near Government, if he can remove the SNP, he will win more south of border, that will be Labour's battle.

But governments change if things collapse, its hard to change while a lot of people are working and things seem rosy. I went from Tory to Labour as I feel they will cut too deep and I think that will happen, but if things stay rosy people won't notice they cut too deep, but if anytime in next 4 years our economy weakens and more people find they need the support............then find that support has been reduced/wiped out then suddenly people back the other side of argument.

I'm not too worried about Cobryns real extreme left side views........is enough rebel Labour MP's would make sure none of them got through even with a majority.

I would ask he had sung it knowing Corbyn wasn't a supporter of the Queen and the Royal family would some sections of the media said "he was just putting on a front in public"?

Guess the question should he have sung the anthem out of respect or is he free and right to do as he pleases (within reason)

They did that two days ago.

Or was it just yesterday?

He's not shy about being a republican. Absolutely pathetic for the media to have leapt on such a non-issue.

One thing I do seem to find over the last 2-3 days is its going to be a lot of fun behind scenes with this guy...................he clearly out and out hates portions of the media and them portions of the media clearly hate him.

his replies are coming through social media, not the press, in last 48 hours a cameraman has been assaulted by one of his aids, others have had cameras broken.............should be fun stuff.

him ditching press for social media may be a smart move in the long-term, its certainly swinging that way.

Corbyn handling himself well so far even after sly digs from the off.

Cameron is so out of touch with real life in the UK.

"How is this FAIR?" Go on Jezza!

SNP pledge their allegiance to Corbyn.

If Corbyn ever wants to get into power, he needs to steal a few million votes away from the SNP...but an alliance for now was always likely.

Also accepted membership of the Queen’s privy council, odd for a Republican?!

He'll have to swear the oath..in which he sub-serves to be a "true servant to Her Majesty" and sears not to speak "against Her Majesty's Person, Honour, Crown, or Dignity"

I think that's an unavoidable compromise he had to make, in order to be kept in the loop about all security briefings and also as part of the constitutional role of the opposition to the government.

Well that was unusual today in the commons, no shouting aznd subjects discussed in a decent respectful way. I liked the way Corbyn asked questions that were set by the electorate and not the party trying to score points like Miliband did,my god he was a cock!

@MhairiBlack: Tories sniggering every time Corbyn mentions a member of the public's name. At least they are real people, unlike those the DWP made up.

Wouldn't this sound too good to be true?
That would certainly be a programme I'd be happy to see enacted.

LOVE those DM establishment wank fantasies. They did one for Miliband as well. Think we lost the Falklands in that one.

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
Lee from Chesterfield asks is this new pmqs format sustainable in terms of the leader of the opposition being able to adequately challenge the government?

Ah yes, penned by the ex-editor of Punch, a magazine he stewarded so well that they had to close down after more than 160 years of publishing history. Obviously the worst effect of a Corbyn Premiership would be that foreign players wouldn't desire to play in the Premiership!

The fact that so many political parties and politicians are against the EU is making membership increasingly attractive.

If I'm in a church, I refuse to say the Lord's Prayer and remain silent but I'd probably sing along to GSTQ at a football match.

Why would you refuse to say the Lords Prayer in church? I may be missing something from earlier in the thread or missing some irony but I'm genuinely puzzled.

You can always rely on the Daily Mail to have its finger on the pulse of someone who wants to fuck over ordinary people, businesses, the poor, the elderly, the young, libraries, public services, foreigners, people who look foreign, people who like foreigners, people who are married to foreigners, people whose eyes are too far apart, the sick and the oppressed.

I'm not in the least bit religious. Why would I chant a prayer to nothing? I went to a cousin's wedding and just stood there. Not that contraversial is it?

I won't say the Lord's Prayer.

I come from a very strict Catholic family and whenever there is an event that includes go to church I refuse to take part in any of the bullshit.

Holy Communion, Hail Mary, Our Father.. no thanks.

I get berated from older family members all the time for it.
