So you can't enlighten us then?
I don't need to. The guys that own these polling companies are also the biggest lobbyists out there. Understand that fact and everything should fit into place for you.

But like The Paranoid Partridge said, it's in polling companies interest to be as accurate as possible.

It's easy to be accurate when you've made the target which is the point. Polling isn't in the public interest, it wasn't invented for that purpose. Polling used to brilliant when the moral consensus was set by a select few mainstream media corporations but that's no longer the case. No matter what Partridge says those who partake in polling are nerds and the type to read political editorials on a daily basis, they aren't real people. Polling also doesn't prevent basic phycology from skewing the findings. When voting in a polls people are far more likely to vote for the option they think will win rather than what they want, that isn't the case when an election swings around. Corbyn's polling can be explained by the agenda of the polling companies (or the people who own said companies), the participants belonging to a narrow range of person who still seek guidance from msm and the bandwagon effect is an irrefutable factor. So yeah, if the next election is going to be decided by people who register & subscribe to vote in polls and read broadsheet editorials for enjoyment then Labour would be pretty screwed. All recent evidence points to that not being the case though.

Out of interest, if the polls should consistently show favourably for Corbyn and Labour, outside of the margin of error, will you say the same?

Have you read anything I've written? The polls won't show favourably for Corbyn because he isn't compatible with the machine that is behind the polling companies and just about everything else. What do you know about the Vanguard Group for instance?

Polling showed Corbyn ahead of Owen Smith during the leadership election, pretty much the whole time that they were campaigning. If polling companies don't want him as Labour leader, why would they show him in the lead then?

How so? If pollsters really don't want him to be PM why not kill off his chances at that stage?

Local elections by-elections will show the polling companies are absolutely correct.

But no.... it's a right-wing conspiracy!!!

Polling companies are owned by factions with vested interests in not seeing Corbyn elected. That's not a conspiracy but a simple fact.

So is Iris in Durham who's counting for a local by-election where Labour continue to lose votes also got a vested interest?

Ignore polling, look at the facts. Labour are losing local seats everywhere, this will be shown nationally in 2020.

-11 for Labour.

The first time a net loss for Labour in opposition since a certain Mr Foot was in charge.

Unbelievable naive of you to think Lib Dems are going to come crawling to Labour.

Lib Dems went crawling to UKIP last time round. Both parties rode the anti establishment wave both times. Corbyn is now on that wave. Victory will be a sure thing.

I posted that local election results had been dreadful for Labour. The charts quite clearly show that.

If you think that is good enough for the main opposition party mid-term of an uninspiring Conservative government then you're a genuine mentalist. Like a lot of Corbynistas!

Yeah definite troll.

No it tends to Corbyn's supporters who like to abuse John Woodcock over his mental health issues.

No I picked up on a term you used. I've not seen anything said about John Woodcock and I don't know about his issues.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Surprised to read the Indy laying into Sadiq Khan today regarding the Tube shutdown. I think it's a bit harsh. Yes he's made to look daft after saying that "any strike is a sign of failure" and that he'd "make sure there are zero days of strikes" during his election campaign. And it's fair enough to highlight that. But I don't think he's due too much flak considering this depute is historic and goes back to decisions taken years ago and he's only been in office a few months. I would have had the Indy down as more supportive of Khan?

So since May 2015 Labour have retained their seats by only 2% more than the Tories, and have only gained 1 more seat than the Tories.
I wonder what could possibly have inspired downturn, whatever it was it definitely wasn't a conspired coup whereby the establishment en masse made a concerted effort to shape a reality based on their interests... What I posted is solid proof that Labour were turning it around prior to the coup attempt which was the most blatant disregard for democracy that this country has seen in our lifetimes. Even after all the going ons Labour have recorded a year of steady if unremarkable by-election results. Certainly not the crisis some on here claim. Things are on the up.
