Saw the film Everest. Quality film, very sad though especially if it was based of a true story as it claims.

The Dead Zone [1983]

David Cronenberg film based on a Stephen King novel about a normal guy with his life ahead of him, about to marry, has a car crash, goes into a coma for 5 years and comes out finding she's moved on and shacked up with another guy, and oh yeah, he has developed telepathy. He then has moral dilemmas about whether to use his gift for good especially when he finds out a path he sees a psychopathic politician heading on that will endanger the world. Good cast with the always interesting Christopher Walken in the lead role, and Herbert Lom, Tom Skerritt and Martin Sheen backing him up. Plenty of fun and ideas throughout and a good watch.

Lockout (2012)
Starting off as a decent sci-fi film starring Guy Pearce for the first 45 minutes then went rapidly downhill after that, the last hour was a chore to watch.5.5/10.

Ratcatcher (1999)

Set during the 70's in Glasgow the film is about a young boy growing up in the slums and the burden it takes on him as a person It is a look at an unutterable struggle against circumstance there are times that are completely bleak but a melancholic tenderness prevails

great film 8/10

Never heard of this one Beni, looks an interesting social film, and my grandfather grew up in those slums in the Gorbals 100 years back now, so its a film that'll interest me. Will look it out, cheers for highlighting it! :D

Bloody hell that looks grim mate.
Yeah I can't even imagine what it would be like living like that especially in my comfortable surroundings and it makes me feel kind of guilty about it.

My grandfather got out, he managed to get work in the building trade then went off to war and met my gran before coming to Dundee. He had a good few years but unfortunately died relatively young after getting pancreatic cancer. Whenever I watch that film I'm sure I'll be thinking of him.

Ha yeah he is, a very interesting actor to watch and doesn't take himself too serious despite looking like a psychopath! Even if a films shit, I'll watch it through if he's in it. :D

A shocker of a film all CGI and loud bangs with Liam Neeson and Sam Worthington. I feel generous so 3/10.

Erm.. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't it. Quite slow and introspective for a hour then kinda explodes but in a downbeat, lo-fi way. I enjoyed it and Russel is excellent as always.
7/10 still a bit confused.

You should be fucking ashamed of yourself. I've rarely felt physically sick whilst reading someone's opinion on something but this was one such instance.

Again, fuck off and don't come back until you get some taste and show some respect to the late great Paul Walker and the glorious franchise he helped build.

Are you telling me that you somehow found so much as a single positive quality to the Fast and Furious movies?! Fucking hell Bish. Da fok is wrong with you.

With Russell Crowe being in some right turkeys recently Like Noah and Robin hood) i was a bit wary of watching this this but it turned to be a really good film. The scenes at Gallipoli were brutal as you would expect and the final scene after the battle brought a lump to the throat. 8/10.

Says the man who thinks the franchise is about cars and explosions and women.

It's not Oaf. It's about FAMILY.

Van Damme has made plenty of dire films but this shit has to be the worst, 0/10 that's how bad it was and i only lasted just over an hour before i couldn't watch any more.

I really enjoyed this film, I thought it was properly gripping and at times, emotional. I would go 8/10 on this one.

Gone Girl
8.5/10

I agree with this. Rosamund Pike plays it brilliantly.

Death Sentence

Kevin Bacon plays a father whose son is murdered as part of a gang initiation. The film is basically about him getting revenge on the gang members. Fairly intense at times.
