Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Other than the Dark Knight movies, I find most comic book/superhero movies a borefest. But this was alright, I mean, it's a long movie and I paid attention to most of it. And Wonder Woman is super fit. 6.5/10

7 Psychopaths (2012)

An alcoholic screenplay writer gets caught up in madness after a couple of his mates steal a gangster's dog. This film was bang average tbh, chuckled a couple of times but was ultimately disappointment. 5/10

So I watched Ghostbusters last night (The new, lady one) and what the fuck? It's actually... pretty good. Well, son of a bitch.

Probably a bit too referencey to the original in the end (Starts off like, hey, it's THAT GUY! and it's all exciting... but then it's like... oh that... and him... and that... and them... and that... ). But nah, that didn't bother me that much I guess. Villain was a bit shit and a bit too out there to really take in, but other than that I thought the cast was, actually, pretty damn good. Fuck it. You know what? I actually want a sequel to it now. And I never thought I'd say that.

Erm... it was good I think, the pacing was completely off for me. Margot Robbie was really excellent as Harley Quinn, I wasn't sure if she was the right person for the role, she definitely wouldn't have been my first choice from the start, no complaints from her performance though.

Thought Leto was good as Joker also, I think he's brilliant anyway and I liked his take on it. He'll always get compared to Heath Ledgers performance unfortunately. We didn't see enough of Joker in the film which let it down. 6.5/10.

Jesus fucking Christ.

So, a long time ago I decided to check out a film that I'd never seen before. It's a massive movie franchise and the later films have The Rock in it and the last few films are apparently quite good... so, back in the days when Lovefilm was a thing, I rented The Fast and the Furious off of them. And my GOD was it awful. I actually think it may be the worst film I've ever seen.

Well, after putting it off for a long, long time (like I said, Lovefilm still existed back when I saw the first one) tonight I actually made myself sit through... sigh... 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Or at least I think I did. I don't really remember. I'm only about half an hour removed from the opening credits, but all I can remember is that BRRRRROOOOOOOOOOMMMM VVVVRRROOOOOOOOMMM *TIRE SQEAK* VRRRRROOOOOOOOOOMMMM and I'm not sure what else exactly was in the movie. My god this film series is terrible.

And next up is Tokyo Drift. The "worst one" in the series. HAHA! Really?! I think I'm actually looking forward to it just to see how it's any worse than the first two.

Ugh. Must keep plugging through. The Rock will show up sooner and later and save the day. Right?

RIGHT?!

A pointless and dull remake starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. 4/10.

Watched Flightplan at the weekend and thought it was pretty good. Making a decent film that is confined to such a small environment must be difficult but it was well written and constantly kept me thinking and guessing right the way through.

Also watched Four Lions but that is simply a movie that requires nothing else saying about it. Still hilarious even after having watched it multiple times

Tokyo drift is one of the worst films of all time. And not just in the Fast and Furious sense. All time. Awful film, bloody awful.

YAY.

I actually can't wait to see it, just to see how bad it is. I've watched Independence Day Resurgence and Batman vs Superman so far this year, and I get the feeling that they're going to look like the fucking Shawshank Redemption by the time I'm done with this series.

You should be fucking ashamed of yourself. I've rarely felt physically sick whilst reading someone's opinion on something but this was one such instance.

Again, fuck off and don't come back until you get some taste and show some respect to the late great Paul Walker and the glorious franchise he helped build.

Soldier Blue - Uncut version (1970).
Looks dated now but still a decent film. The battle at the end was brutal and i can see why some scenes were cut back in 1970,seeing the women and children killed without pity and an Indian woman having her tits sliced off while alive was not easy viewing. 7/10.

David Brent: Life on the Road.

Like watching an old friend die, but one who everyone knew had been ill for a very long time, so it's actually kind of a relief to see him finally go. One bag of popcorn and three stamps on a Costa loyalty card.

I'm a fan of the Scream movies, although they follow a similar pattern they are enjoyable.
8/10

Cheap Thrills

I missed the start so took a while to understand the premise of the film. Basically a rich couple get 2 guys to do things for money, and it gets a bit weird.
6/10

Morris From America

I thought this was a decent film, it focuses on the life of a 13 year old African-American who moves to Germany with his father.
7.5/10

After I finished with Cheap Thrills, I literally thought what the fuck did I just watch. Id give it about a 3/10. There is a newer style one that has come out, or coming out; Nerve. Basically they dare each other and do weird things. I am intrigued to see it, but not enough to pay to see it.

I quite liked Cheap Thrills. It's not great but it was enjoyable in a perverse kind of way.

Thought it was ace, visually stunning and the lad who played Mowgli was very good too. Would watch again. 8/10.

The Purge - Election Year
It was alright, it's the kind of film where you need to leave your brain at the door. 7/10.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Dream-stalking, serial-killing paedophile in a grubby jumper and a hat. I watched it alone at night while swigging Barnstormer cider. Tonight I think I will watch the sequel alone at night while swigging Crumpton Oaks cider.

The sequel was by a different director and was awful.

Yeah, I'm not expecting much from the sequels but I like to see out a series when I start. Masochism, perhaps. The cider should help.

I'll try not to mate!
In his circumstances he does like Scrumpy a lot and also regularly makes the hottest, richest curries around which I suppose doesn't help him! (Though they are delicious! :D )

I live in Somerset and have to say there's nowt wrong with "Proper" cider unlike that fizzy shit that has never even had a sniff of an apple. Wilkins cider is the breakfast of champions :)

You guys know I'm not averse to a dram or two on the odd occasion; but I've never got into cider. I don't mind a pint of it now and again, but I couldn't drink it all the time like my friend does, or maybe you lads as well. I just prefer a good beer personally and have went right off that sugary fizzy shite of the big companies, and prefer a real ale or a craft beer; you pay that bit extra, but you tend to get what you pay for in life. I suppose its the same with cider, but I don't know anything about that tbh.
