best fans in league, nobend nobodys cant wait take over that shit hole next season..people expect us to take cheap jibes and say nothing.. it dont work like that...we should start singing the milleall chant and add bitterness in there somewhere
best fans in the league  you're either utterly deluded or on a wind up, I'm guessing it's the latter.

you mean take over like we did at your place in 2000 selling out the side stand while you had the stand behind the goal closed? You'll always be a tiny club, you're rivals are fucking Chorley for christs sake.

Aren't the "best fans in the league" barely bringing a hundred to The Den tomorrow?

you're a nothing club cha - stop arguing with yourself, you're making yourself look rather daft.

Preston, Sheffield United, Bristol C, Barnsley, Millwall, Bradford, Coventry, Notts, Blackpool - all bigger clubs that have been in L1 in the last 2 years. argue with that. one by one if you will. idiot.

Without wanting to turn this into the away attendance thread mk 2 we took 304 to The Den on a Tuesday night this season. You've just gone second and are the form team in the division along with us. You should easily manage a couple of hundred surely?

Aside from that, if we beat Cov tomorrow we'll both be on 52 points. We were 17 points behind them after losing 4-3 at the Ricoh in November. Mental. Huge game for both teams.

The wanker can take all the shite he signed for us back.
Blades fans have no time for our Nige, I know that. He has always done well for us. Personally I think had you kept faith with him you would be in a much healthier place than where you are now but that's all down to opinion.
No axe to grind with Blades, just hope we get something from tomorrows game.

Wigan averaged 1700 in 1995, even Burton averaged more in the 4th tier.

Having read all the posts I will be delighted if my little club Burton Albion run on a shoe string pip the mighty Wigan Athletic to the league one title.
And there was me thinking Wigan was famous for egg chasing and Northern soul. I have partaken in egg chasing but did visit Wigan Casino often and have been a DJ on the soul scene !

How are we the best fans? I think the whole [insert clubs name] fans are the best argument is pointless and stupid. A collective set of fans of one club, any club aren't the best. It's the fans of every single club who travel to the other end of the country on a miserable Tuesday night through good and bad times to support the club, to go as many games as possible regardless of performances, they are the best fans and every club has them.

The whole club size is a tiresome argument, all the clubs listed on the past two pages are very similar sized clubs. What exactly do people construe as club size? Club size fluctuates, currently Wigan are probably slightly bigger than the likes of Bristol City, Preston etc, whether people like it or not. What we've achieved over the past 15 years is the reason why, top flight for 8 years, FA Cup winners, League Cup runners up, played in Europe, bigger revenue, budgets and up until this season bigger crowds for a decade surely covering every single point that can be argued against club size.

As I said though club size fluctuates, 15 years ago, Bristol City etc were much bigger than Wigan. Who knows what will happen in football and in 10 years time things will probably be a lot different once again. wiganmudhuts and JJH are making themselves out to look like right idiots, wiganmudhuts, why do you have to argue with everyone? JJH you say Wigan winning the FA Cup and Bristol City spending a few seasons in the top flight 40 years ago and not winning a major trophy makes Bristol City bigger currently is bizarre rationale.

Fans of clubs who've had no success, arguing with fans who've won 1 trophy 100 years ago, arguing with fans who've won 1 trophy in recent times. Perhaps if a club in this league had won 10+ trophies some of which recently then you'd have a genuine claim as the stand out biggest team.

I do tend to find a lot of club size tends to come down to people seeing the population of a place and for absolutely no footballing reasons declare a club big because a lot of people live there, as a strange logic as well.

At the end of the day, no club in this league is 'big' otherwise none of us would be there and I'd argue there's no real big club in The Championship either. However, there's a lot of fans with a superiority complex.

The hate comments are a bit weird too, a Preston fan hating Wigan is one thing local rivalry, it's to be expected, but a fan of a club 200 miles away hating Wigan, for what reason? I've seen a lot of people who cheered Wigan on as a second club a few years ago, win the FA Cup and suddenly these same people 'hate' although hand on heart, if people were being entirely honest it's down to jealously, as we've done someone 95% of clubs fans would only dream of.
