Wolves and Ipswich drawing is a fantastic result for us.

Win today and Brentford drop points, and we're guaranteed a playoff place. Don't see it happening, but these two both dropping points goes a long way towards us sealing a place whether it be today or not.

Think that's Wolves done now, so nervy but what a result.

I'm a Bolton fan for the rest of the afternoon.

That result means Town mathematically can't catch us now. Wonder how these guys are feeling.

Couldn't figure out if a draw or Wolves win was a better result for us. Fancy Ipswich to drop points once more in the last 2 games, we'll need to win them all.

I think I'm going to hate Darren Bent forever:

It's great to think we really did start the rot for Wolves, 6 straight wins and nailed on certs for the play offs coming to us, we beat them, they've not won since and the play off dream is all but dead.

I'm claiming full victory for that.

I'm not giving up on automatic promotion just yet. I love how most Norwich fans just assume we're completely out of it now. We win 2 out of 2, Boro drop points in just one of their final two games, Watford lose just one of their three remaining games, Bournemouth only take 4 points from 3 games, (and we only need two of those last three scenarios to happen, as long as we beat both Rotherham and Fulham) then we could very well be in that top two on GD.

A long shot, but the pressure could well produce some strange results.

what the fuck Bournemouth?

Guarantee had we won last night, they'd be 3-0 up by now.

See. It's not over. It will not be over until 90 minutes are up for everyone on May 2nd.

Wouldn't surprise me if whoever ends up going up absolutely crawls over the line. It was never going to be the case that every team just keeps on winning. That never happens.

We don't deserve to go up, must be the 20th time this season we've given an absolute gift of a goal away. Our home form is terrible at the moment because we can't stop giving away goals. Button makes some great saves, but has been at fault for most of the goals we've conceded of late.

Still effectively 5 clear, but now with only 6 to play for. that has to be us over the line now.

Tomorrow just shows how poor we are though. All four came through giving the ball away or poor defending from corners. We'll get absolutely mullered in the playoffs.

Doesn't really change anything for us. Need to win our 2 and hope 2 of the teams above us fuck up. Can't see it happening but we have to make sure that we keep breathing down the necks of those above us.

Think that's Ipswich and Derby confirmed then. We've given away our chances over the last 10 games. The errors we are making in defence at the moment every game are just pathetic.

That late Sheff Wed goal keeps things even more interesting. Signs that Bournemouth could yet choke. And I'd fancy us to do them in the play-off final if it came down to it.

The fact that we've beaten Watford comfortably home and away makes it so frustrating that they keep winning.

If only you just had to play one team all season. Would have won the league. :smug::bravo:

Well we could have played Watford and yourself over and over again and we'd win every week

What a day of results for us.

Not the most vintage performance against Birmingham but there was only ever one winner in it, what a goal by Cathcart. To be honest you can't ask for much more than being top with two to go.

And Bournemouth losing due to a dodgy ref, oh the irony. (Had to post that to prove I am one of the overly bitter watford fans)

Friday night. Winner takes the Top 8 Mini-League title. And let's face it, who gives a shit about promotion this is what it's all really about.

Did I say the Top 8 Mini-League title? I meant the Top 4 Mini-League title...

Talksport think we will miss out on GD but with a bit of a twist:

Both us and Norwich drawing our final away games next week.

http://talksport.com/football/20141...table-it-stands-and-predicted-final-positions

That went well...

Norwich 1-0 Middlesbrough (0-1)
Bournemouth 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday (2-2)
Brentford 2-0 Bolton (2-2)
Huddersfield 1-1 Derby (4-4)
Watford 2-0 Birmingham (1-0)
Wolves 2-0 Ipswich (1-1)

0 correct scores, 2 correct outcomes, 4 completely wrong. They're almost as good at this prediction lark as me.

Well 4 points might do it for us but still rather go for 2 wins!

Eddie Howe: "The referees have come together and said don't give Callum Wilson any penalties. That's not right"

Lost a bit of respect for him after that, Bournemouth have had twice as many penalties than any other club in this divison and he has the sheer audacity to say his players aren't being given penalties?

.....

Howe must be on the wind up.:ohm:

Draws all round for us back end minnows but with a game less. Wouldn't write Wolves/Brentford off at all, we've got a tough trip to Millwall next week who will be fighting for their live so still plenty to play for!

28 points dropped from winning positions this season. That is an eye-watering amount.
