Not to mention pressure on Conte. Southampton winning wiill put the top 4 beyond doubt too I reckon, Chelsea will be 10 points behind 4th with the same games played.

Said it before, this season for Chelsea would have resulted in the manager being sacked in the past. If it doesn't happen it's a sure sign that Abramovich's interest in the club has wained for me, and therefore his expectation has considerably lessened. We already know what he's willing to invest has reduced, I suspect he's simply decided he can't compete with the Arabian PR Exercise.

conte is finished - i expect the reason he hasn't been sacked is because there will be something in his contract regarding not finishing 4th and it'll be cheaper/easier to sack him once they mathematically can't make it

the problem for chelsea which is of abramovich's own making is the players are able to undermine the manager and stop playing - whilst conte can't recover from this season unless the chelsea board address the player dynamic this will keep happening

Sounds like we played for a 0-0 and didn't get it.

Swansea v Stoke/Southampton in the last week of the season .

Might decide things .

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Huddersfield will be partying tonight after that.

Swansea looking over their shoulder, Stoke and Southampton don't have many other options for them to catch.

First update: 6-7 games left.
Second update: 5-6 games left
Third update: 4-5 games left

West Brom 24
Bournemouth (A) LOST
Burnley (H) LOST
Swansea (H) DRAW
United (A) WON
Liverpool (H)
Newcastle (A)
Spurs (H)
Palace (A)
Will they do it? Not a prayer
Update: They're gone
Update2: Still gone
Update3: Put themselves ba...nah they’re still gone.

Stoke 28
Everton (H) LOST
Arsenal (A) LOST
Spurs (H) LOST
West Ham (A) DREW
Burnley (H)
Liverpool (A)
Palace (H)
Swansea (A)
Will they do it? No. They'll rue too many draws against sides around them.
Update: Going to need an upset somewhere or they'll be cut adrift
Update2: Keep losing tight games. Have to win of the next 2 to have any chance.
Update3: Might have just thrown away their last chance of survival with that draw. Need to win 3 of their last 4. Unlikely now.

Southampton 28
West Ham (A) LOST
Arsenal (A) LOST
Chelsea (H) LOST
Leicester (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Everton (A)
Swansea (A)
City (H)
Will they do it? It'll go to the last day for them.
Update: Still think they'll have a go in the last 4-5 games but may be too late.
Update2: Time is running out. 3 wins needed. Not sure from where.
Update3: Bottled survival with that last 30 minutes against Chelsea. Need at least 3 wins and have to start with an out of form Leicester or they're gone.

Swansea 33
United (A) LOST
West Brom (A) DRAW
Everton (H) DRAW
City (A)
Chelsea (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Southampton (H)
Stoke (H)

Will they do it? Yes, but right to the wire.
Update: Think they have enough to grit out a few wins in the last 7.
Update2: Missed a big chance at the weekend. Going down to the final 3 games for them.
Update3: Just need that win to get themselves almost over the line. Will come down to the final two games if they don't win before then.

Palace 34
Huddersfield (A) WON
Liverpool (H) LOST
Bournemouth (A) DRAW
Brighton (H) WON
Watford (A)
Leicester (H)
Stoke (A)
West Brom (H)
Will they do it? Yes, just!
Update: Don't help themselves by losing games they play well in, but others being poor should see them fine, just.
Update2: Just can’t pull away from it. Should do over the coming games.
Update3: Look more comfortable now. Have the fixtures to get up to around the 40 point mark and be more than fine.

Huddersfield 35
Palace (H) LOST
Newcastle (A) LOST
Brighton (A) DRAW
Watford (H) WIN
Chelsea (A)
Everton (H)
City (A)
Arsenal (H)
Will they do it? Plucky enough to scrape it. Need a cushion by final 2 games.
Update: Lost form. In big trouble now. Have to win in their next 2 or they're gone. Brighton match is season defining.
Update2: Watford is a must win or else they’re going to need an upset from somewhere.
Update3: Massive win. Might need another point or two from somewhere but 35 could be enough.

West Ham 35
Southampton (H) WON
Chelsea (A) DRAW
Stoke (H) DRAW
Arsenal (A)
City (H)
Leicester (A)
United (H)
Everton (H)
Will they do it? Need at least a win from their next 2 home games or they're gone.
Update: Massive win today. Tough run in but they have another 2 wins in them.
Update2: A win against Stoke would all but keep them up. Defeat puts them back in it.
Update3: Got out of jail tonight as a Stoke win would have put them in trouble. Hard run in but points on the board will probably have them ok.

Brighton 36
Leicester (H) LOST
Huddersfield (H) DRAW
Palace (A) LOST
Spurs (H) DRAW
Burnley (A)
United (H)
Liverpool (A)
City (A) TBA
Will they do it: Would like it secured in the next couple or could be a nervous ending.
Update: Could have badly done with taking something today looking at their run in. The Huddersfield game is huge. Loser will be in massive trouble.
Update2: I think 37 gets you safe. Need one hard fought win from somewhere to do it.
Update 3: Could quite clearly go the rest of the season without picking up another point. Will 35 points be enough? I think Stoke or Southampton will close the gap but can they overtake?
Update 3.5: Enormous point. Can Southampton get 8 points from 5 games. I'm going with no. That should be them alright now unless the Saints go on a late run.

Watford 37
Update2: Thought I should add them in although they’ll scrape up to 40 to end the season.
Update 3: 37 should be enough but they're bloody awful so they can stay here for a bit.

All eyes on Southampton now, because that has killed Stoke. Liverpool away is an obvious loss so they'd need to win their 3 other games and you can't see them beating in form Burnley or Palace.

2 wins and 2 draws would put Southampton on 36 points which I think will be enough and would send either us, Swansea or Brighton down. Swansea might well be saved by having Stoke at home on the final day when they'll likely already be relegated. Brighton might not get another point leaving them on 35. With our fixtures I think we'll finish on 36, but maybe that's a bit pessimistic as our 2 home games are against teams with awful away records.

The only team I could see getting dragged in is Brighton due to that horrendous run in, and the only side I could see catching them is Southampton, although them and Stoke's last results will have really knocked the stuffing out of them.

We’ve won one game in 20 (I think it is now), with our last home win coming all the way back in November. We aren’t going to start winning all of a sudden with five games left, unfortunately.

My only concern is how you've improved in these last 2 games, despite coming away with no points. Can take some heart from those defeats. Austin back is a big boost too, and fixtures against teams with nothing to play for are ideal.

I think the way Chelsea came back to beat us on Saturday will have done more harm than good for us mentally. Additionally, our best performances in this terrible season have came against the “bigger” sides with draws against Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United alongside City only beating us with a last minute Sterling goal. So our players have generally raised their performances in those recent types of matches, even when Pellegrino was in charge.

So, the reaction at Leicester will be the clincher, and I can see Vardy/Mahrez having a field day against our defence, as even with nothing to play for they are still capable of beating us comfortably, as we did to Palace at the back end of last season when they were battling the drop and we were cruising.

Austin, I think is too late and our last two clowns have struggled to fit him into their system despite him top scoring while missing half of the season each year and it looks like Hughes may be going the same way with Long the favoured option at the moment.

This has been frustrating to be honest.

Despite the West Ham cock up, Hughes has improved us and if the club had sacked that absolute clown Pellegrino back in October, we wouldn't be going down imo.

Its been the most avoidable relegation in history of the Premier League. I can't wait for the board to get some much deserved shit by the fans when our relegation is confirmed.

Remember back in 05 when he took over and we all said he'd get bored with his new toy? I think he's proper nowadays. He got Chelsea winning the CL and he doesn't seem to care if things aren't great for Chelsea at any given point. Reckon that's how the Qataris will treat us once we win the CL. They'll get bored, sell at a major loss and do something else.

Didn't realise that there was such a gap at the bottom. Always very annoying when the gap is between the bottom 3 and the rest as it looks like it's going to stay the same. Oh well. Wolves are up. Anyone care to comment on that?

Hopefully not. My desire to see PSG continually miss out on the Champions League is only slightly beaten by the same for City. Any club which deliberately flouts FFP and has an outgoing expenditure that has zero relationship to their operating income deserves to win fuck all in my opinion.

As I am sure Mark will confirm Bournemouth fans would like to help send Southampton down - hopefully their players agree.

With Swansea to play as well they have a say in this but reckon the Swans will get 6-7 points from the other games.

Stoke gone for me - Won't get anything at Liverpool and can they out score Palace and Swansea?
