I think Puel has realised the error of his ways at Saints. So had he kept his job there he probably would have done poorly in a second season, however if he returned he'd do a better (more entertaining anyway) job.
He was fucking dire at Saints but we've been pretty attack minded under him. Only gripe from some are his ever changing lineups, but for me he's got to figure out the players, only one of which is his signing, and how they fit into his system. Also he's progressing the younger players well, which I think was a priority in his appointment.

Arsenal have their Europa Quarter final between games against Stoke and Southampton which might handy for those 2 sides.

We have them at home on the final day, the final would be 3 days later, so I'm really hoping they avoid Atletico and get to the final!

Hard to see Stoke getting out of it now.

We chose a terrible time to put in one of our worst performances under Wagner. Truly terrible.

We're kinda relying on Southampton and/or West Ham not sorting their shit out.

I don't think Saints have actually been in the relegation zone all season?
They were 18th on 3 occasions.

Still awfully tight at the bottom. My gut feeling is that West Brom, Stoke and Huddersfield will go down. Pretty sure on the first 2 but the 3rd could be virtually anyone from 11th.

Please be West Ham. Not because I dislike West Ham particularly, but because of Moyes.

Am I the only one who thinks that he's doing a better job than I expected?

Considering all the shit going on behind the scenes and the lack of January signings, I think he's done well so far.

a good weekend for us with every result working in our favour.

look at our goal difference compared to the other teams in the relegation scrap. i wonder if that dopey cunt gary neville has figured out why we didn't let city smash us 7-0 yet. probably not. essentially 8 points clear of the drop now, we should be ok from here.

"Have to win our next two", oh please.
If we get 4 more points then Saints need to get another 7 (Stoke even more), are they gonna do that with those fixtures? I highly doubt it.
Miracles happen but the bottom 3 are in crisis. No goals for us against Swansea, Palace or Newcastle is really poor and has certainly put us as the most likely to go down outside the bottom 3, but one more win (which has to come from Brighton Watford or Everton surely) and a point (Arsenal at home on the final day?!) and we'll be fine.

Cue Stoke winning at the Emirates tomorrow...

Have to win IN their next 2. Don’t get grumpy. The relegation battle always brings silly results. No one knows for who yet, hence why I’m looking at points right now. Can reassess when it gets to 4 left.

Can anyone make a case for any of the current bottom three getting out of it. Think Huddersfield will be like Watford last season

Well if Huddersfield lose their next 6 games then sadly think unlike us they will go down as Stoke will get points somewhere.

Yup, Newcastle now 10 points above danger. Can't see them being involved now. Still hoping Benitez tells Buster Bloodvessel that he's off without a decent investment this summer.

Looks like Stoke were unlucky yesterday and could have got something with better finishing.

Got some "winnable games" to come so would not rule them out if they can find the net .

Stoke’s major problem is that they can’t score because they failed to bring in a decent striker in the summer and then in January.

Expect them to lose against West Ham and I’m hoping Arnautovic scores to hammer one of the final nails in the Stoke Prem coffin.

i think stoke are done - there isn't the stomach about the club to stay up - if they had their siege bearpit mentality I'd give them a chance but most of the supporters are arguing amongst each other and the team is made up of past it players and bottlejobs except for a few eggs like allen.

how did zouma end up at chelsea btw - he's garbage
