Eddie Howe went back to Bournemouth and it was a great appointment. Obviously he wasn't sacked the first time but you know

Being sacked before makes a lot of difference. Means you have failed before at that club.

Brian McDermott came back to Reading and despite being the second most successful manager in our history with a large backing of the fanbase, there was always from day 1 the 20% of fans who never wanted him back. The same thing does not tend to happen when you hire someone new as fans will generally give the person time to prove themselves.

At least Steve doesn't have experience of taking an expensively assembled squad down I guess.

Oh.

Each day I pray for Nigel Adkins to make his return and he was sacked.

Stubbs potted.

Wonder if they'll try and tempt Grezza at Scunthorpe.

They'd have no chance.

Announce Cotterill.

SERNWA on twitter saying he wants Kenny Jackett, the irony since he always slated him when he was our manager...

Not that he'd go there anyway.

Id be happy with Jackett, he has experience at championship and league 1 level when we go down to give us a good chance of coming straight back up. Would also welcome back Evans with open arms aswel so any of those 2 please.

Been linked every time we're looking for a new manager so it wouldn't surprise me if this time he gets it. Personally i hope he doesn't, his interviews and style of play bore me to death.

No surprise to see Stubbs gone, said over the summer he was a poor appointment and a Rotherham fan wasn't best pleased about it but there you go. It's not particularly a good squad at Rotherham so it'll be a fight for whoever comes in now, Stuart Gray did it with us but our side was probably better than what's at Rotherham. Can see it being either Gray or Evans, can't see Kenny Jackett being that interested unless Tony Stewart sells it him.

I think Jackett would come in a shot if the job was handed to him tbh, he got sacked by a mid table championship team so he would be lucky to find another 1 so the best job he can hope for now is a lower championship team or top end league 1 team.

Yeah, I don't see why Jackett would be unrealistic, he's a League One specialist who can consolidate at this level. Rotherham look a bit fucked this year but like Reaper says, Jackett's next job will be either a struggling Championship side or a League One club looking at promotion.

Rotherham seem pretty stable financially, if they go down, I imagine they would be a force again in League One.

Jackett refused to rule out any job, he says he's a builder.

Jackett confirmed, solid appointment but will ensure my ban on listening to Radio Sheffield continues, fuck listening to his squeaky voice.

Happy with that appointment i think he's the man to get us back promoted to the championship with a better equipped squad in league 1 if we go down.

Yeah definitely a good appointment for Rotherham, the best they could have got realistically. It's a big ask to keep them up but as he's shown at a few clubs he's your man to get you back up here.

Rumours are that JFH will be out if we lose on Saturday with Tim Sherwood coming in to replace him. I am in two minds about this.

On one hand, JFH has been given the task of getting a younger team together, which he is doing with a budget. But, we is contantly playing people out of position and playing such boring football. We do not know how to attach, we do not keep clean sheets. We have some very good players here, and we have potential to do better than we are.

But then I dont think Tim will be the man to improve this. He done okay at Tottenham but then did not do very well at Villa. Does he play attacking football? If he does, then at least us fans will be entertained at long last.

He plays very attacking football, sometimes to the point of stupidity. However, if you allow him to actually sign his own players, something he's never been able to do (no signings at Spurs, Paddy Reilly signing everyone at Villa), he may actually turn out alright. Probably the most likeable manager we've had in years, though I do realise that is no reflection upon his ability.

Don't take his time at Villa as gospel, he should never have taken that job, and nor should any manager until we rooted out the main poison of the club at the time (Randy, I'm looking at you), but a young manager will take the job, as he and Garde did, and they both took HUGE dents to their reputations because of it. Garde, probably rightly, utterly clueless, but Tim, I don't know.

At least we will be exciting to watch. It is so boring watching QPR at the moment.

Fucking hate Tim Sherwood, it's one of those irrational hatreds too, I despised him as a player, he's a typical home counties soft twat and that gilet he wears, what an utter twat....
