I had no bitter feelings towards sherwood. It was obviously the wrong job for him as the mountain was too high to climb in terms of the mess we was in. We were kind of exciting and I use that word lightly to watch at times, but the job was just too big for him. I think he could do well at a more stable club with a bit more time on his hands. Regarding remi garde, I thought he was fucking clueless and didn't like him one bit. I think after the third game he realised he had made a mistake coming to us and wanted out. Just nothing about him at all and apparently he was useless according to some of our players. He plays very attacking football, sometimes to the point of stupidity. However, if you allow him to actually sign his own players, something he's never been able to do (no signings at Spurs, Paddy Reilly signing everyone at Villa), he may actually turn out alright. Probably the most likeable manager we've had in years, though I do realise that is no reflection upon his ability.
Don't take his time at Villa as gospel, he should never have taken that job, and nor should any manager until we rooted out the main poison of the club at the time (Randy, I'm looking at you), but a young manager will take the job, as he and Garde did, and they both took HUGE dents to their reputations because of it. Garde, probably rightly, utterly clueless, but Tim, I don't know.
