He plays very attacking football, sometimes to the point of stupidity. However, if you allow him to actually sign his own players, something he's never been able to do (no signings at Spurs, Paddy Reilly signing everyone at Villa), he may actually turn out alright. Probably the most likeable manager we've had in years, though I do realise that is no reflection upon his ability.

Don't take his time at Villa as gospel, he should never have taken that job, and nor should any manager until we rooted out the main poison of the club at the time (Randy, I'm looking at you), but a young manager will take the job, as he and Garde did, and they both took HUGE dents to their reputations because of it. Garde, probably rightly, utterly clueless, but Tim, I don't know.
I had no bitter feelings towards sherwood. It was obviously the wrong job for him as the mountain was too high to climb in terms of the mess we was in. We were kind of exciting and I use that word lightly to watch at times, but the job was just too big for him. I think he could do well at a more stable club with a bit more time on his hands. Regarding remi garde, I thought he was fucking clueless and didn't like him one bit. I think after the third game he realised he had made a mistake coming to us and wanted out. Just nothing about him at all and apparently he was useless according to some of our players.

Fucking hate Tim Sherwood, it's one of those irrational hatreds too, I despised him as a player, he's a typical home counties soft twat and that gilet he wears, what an utter twat....

Twat
definitely see where your coming from. Since he's left villa I've become more fond of him for some reason.

Is lambert off to wolves ? Bit of a dodgy one that. I don't think I will ever forgive our club for breaking him the way we did :bg: he was a broken man when he left. Felt sorry for the guy tbf.

I think that's the biggest thing with our past few managers, by the time they've left, we just feel sorry for the fuckers. Hoillier was the start with his heart issues, we all wanted McLeish to fuck off, Lambert was broken, Sherwood, wrong man wrong time, Garde, tit, then you have RDM who is/was a clueless tit.

I think they have a bit of style down south. You still wearing donkey jackets up in Sheffield? I liked Townsend.

That's not style, that's wearing a fucking body warmer. The Twat.

Hate Townsend, awful pundit, average but dirty leave the foot in player, and a bit of a coward when asked why he's a twat.

it's too cold for them once they are north of Watford. You like the word twat don't you. I don't mind a bit of twat myself.

A couple of QPR fans are saying that they want to lose tomorrow against Forest just to get JFH out. Having heard more about Tim, other than hes a twat/c***, I would be relatively happy with him taking charge.

I remember when somebody here said they would rather JFH as Derby manager than Gary Rowett.

Almost as if QPR were waiting for Sherwood to be rejected by Wolves before making the move.

Hasselbaink has been found out then. Looks like he's discovered how hard football management is when you've not had two and a half years worth of groundwork land in your lap.

I'll also call bullshit on anyone who says he hasn't been given enough time since he sold himself to QPR on his "instant success" here.

Not sure who that was but neither would be a good fit here.

Hindsight is great but he was cruising with Burton, should have stayed.

He spoke a good game but it did not translate to the pitch. Talked of high tempo, being brave etc but we were slow, predictable and boring as anything I have seen. We all thought that after the Leeds game (first game this season) it looks like we have his team. We were fast, pressed, energetic and then we have not seen it since.

Tim might be the man to bring attacking football back. I believe we have the players to do so. Other than him, not sure who I would want. I would have taken McLaren but we missed out on him - we have been on a downhill spiral since he left. Realistically, we wont take anyone that is in a job already.

In our promotion season, he was with us when we were playing good stuff and dominating. Once he left, we struggled our way through promotion, got in the Prem, got relegated playing really badly and we have been sinking since.

I am hearing Clement could be the one. QPR fan, the old mans a QPR legend, so appears a good fit. Derby fans, was he any good? Got off to a slow start from what I remember.

I didn't mind him, it was far from attacking football though. Just very solid, organised and lethal on the counter.

We didn't win in the first 5 games under him but we were pretty good, we absolutely battered a couple of teams but just couldn't get the win. Then we went on x2 long unbeaten runs and ended up top of the league by Xmas. The run after that was pretty poor, 6 or 7 without a win and looked a complete shadow of ourselves. He was asked to stick to the philosophy agreed with the chairman as part of his contract but didn't. That coupled with the run of bad form was enough for our chairman to part ways with him.

Our chairman has had quite a bit to say about him tbh, not all great but PC has never defended himself. His brother is rather vocal on Twitter mind.

I think it would be a decent appointment for anyone at this level.

I liked Clement.

His first job as a number one and he got us to top of league.

It wasn't the free flowing attractive football we saw unde McClaren, rather a more sensible, patient and pragmatic approach. I think long term we'd have been a success under him but he didn't seem to have an answer when our form took a dip.

There are major rumours that he was sacked for off the field, personal reasons. The silence from both him and the club has backed this up somewhat.

Would Clement really leave Bayern, and would QPR match his £1m a year wages?

We stupidly did, and that at least at the time (Rafa could well be on more) made him the highest paid manager in Football League history.

I did not know that they would be his wages, to be honest. Maybe with a promotion bonus he might be up for it. Being a QPR fan might help lure him but then maybe (probably) not.

So if it is not him, it will be Sherwood or I have seen Cotterills odds have dropped.

Only thing about Cotterill is that he's too stubborn for his own good, continued playing 3-5-2 with us even when it was obvious it wasn't working. Other than that he's a very good manager, not sure how well he'd do for you though.

Chris Powell has spoken to QPR about the vacant position apparently. Nothing national but it's being reported by a few media outlets down south.

I'd like him to stay put to be hones.

That will just be the Rooney Rule in effect, QPR won't hire Chris Powell.
