Anyone who subscribes to that attitude that 'I'm paying to be here, I can treat you like shit'.

The sort of c*** who takes pride in reducing a 17 year old waitress to tears because the management haven't put in enough staff or gives the person behind the checkout a bollocking because they genuinely can't go against company policy and give them a free replacement for something without a receipt or whatever.

The general public just don't realise when they are being arseholes. Someone once told me to 'be wary of people who talk kindly to you but not the waiter,' and I reckon it's a good friend making policy.

I know this is really unfair and irrational. But I really hate when something happens, today I didn't get a promotion I applied for at work, and people seek you out to tell you that you were unlucky, their loss etc. Just let me be.

Agreed. In a similar but less important way, when you get out playing a shit shot at Cricket and people say "Unlucky"

Nah, it wasn't unlucky, it was a shit shot and we both know it, now leave me alone for 10 minutes to smash up the changing room.

I've missed Cheese & Biscuits in this and the 'Things We Like' thread.

I've got to arrange a stag do for July. I've never been on one and I hate the idea of going on one.

If you're arranging it, go with something you'd enjoy. It doesn't have to be a week in Vegas or any of that wankery.

Some sort of activity in the day. Paintballing or whatever, then pub.

Can't go abroad apparently! Plus I don't know if I fancy being in a massive group of pissed up blokes abroad. I ddon't really know any of the others going though to be honest.

Will have a proper look when I get home this weekend but maybe thought about going skiing in MK? We will see.

I feel sorry for anyone working in a restaurant. Running up and down like someone's lapdog for £6 an hour and endless complaints must be degrading. There's always someone unhappy with something.

I worked part-time in a pub/restuarant during my final year at uni and we had one couple who used to come in every weekend without fail, order the same posh cheese burger and then complain about it every single time. Obviously isn't that bad if you keep coming back ffs.

Two Bob site management, the ones on the job I'm on at the moment is the worst.

A site manager actually just asked me to tell the fitter to stop fixing the crane so that I can do some lift. What the fuck? How stupid is that??

About half an hour later a different one started pointing his finger and 'telling me off' for c*** him off, just because I told him it was too windy to lift something light.

I've only been here for 6 months and I could write a book on stupid things said by the office.

Horse racing. And the Grand National, in particular.

If horse racing is so great, take the betting aspect away for 12 months and see how the sport gets on.

It would wither and die. Because no one cares about horse racing really. It's all about the gamble, and the ££. I've never liked horse racing.

Wrong.

I watch a lot of horse racing without gambling.
