Nah, he lives in a village about 2 miles away. David Cameron lives about 7 miles away and Rebecca Brooks doesn't even live here. Alex James is 4 miles away in another village.

I think I noticed the headline on the back page of the paper one of them was reading in the garden centre, this was filmed the day after we lost to Uruguay in the World Cup!!!

Most of the so-called 'stars' are just there to plug their latest album/movie/whatever though and makes the whole thing all a bit false. I used to watch it tbh, but I don't see the point in it now and flick through it even if there is someone I really like on it.

The BBC are simply trying to show they have teeth. It will probably be back on within a few weeks after the investigation comes back inconclusive or concludes that they were both at fault etc etc. Clarkson earns them millions, I really can't see him being sacked. Top Gear might have been a bit shit for years, but without him it wouldn't work at all, and there is no way the BBC will be dropping it permanently any time soon.

As for the FB page, looking at some of those comments, I'm surprised they have enough intelligence to use a keyboard or a mobile phone.

That is interesting if true. It could easily be argued it's run it's course and now is a good time to put it out to pasture, and it's true he wants out perhaps Clarkson is aware of this and that is part of the reason he doesn't want to stay with the BBC. I will be sorry to see it go purely for what it was 8-10 ago, but not for what it's become. However, it could simply be Clarkson angling for more money, despite his recent "fracas". I read he is due to sign a new contract with the BBC.

When May was initially asked if Clarkson was innocent, he said: "Of being a knob? No."

I liked that. Mention in there of Sky trying to lure all three of them for years, and that all three contracts with the BBC are up at the end of the month and none of them have signed new ones. Contrary to what I said earlier, it looks like this could be the end of Top Gear after all.

I saw something online last night that compared him to Luis Suarez. They've got a point. Liverpool were never going to sack him for what he did there, and the BBC aren't going to sack Clarkson. Both are / were far too valuable to their employers.
