Yeah as I said in the other thread I think we'll be looking at bringing in two midfielders to replace Coutinho and Can in the summer even with Keita's arrival. Add a couple of defenders in there (or maybe one if we manage to get VVD in January) and that'll be the summer window I reckon unless Klopp wants to bring in another striker for Origi and Sturridge's departures too.

Got to give him a chance Pags, I think he's improved significantly as the CL has gone on. Yes he has to improve his shot-stopping of course, but he suits our style far more than Mignolet or Ward. He's always looking to play it on quickly and seems to have better communication with the CB's as time has passed. Maybe he will prove not to be good enough, but its too early to write him off just yet. Look at JimmyJamses own keeper in Kasper Schmeichel, not anything special for years, but since he moved to Leicester he kicked on and that can be the way it is with keepers. We should know since we kicked out Friedel way too early, or maybe you were also calling for his head back then as well.

In all fairness thoug Salts, Kaspar wasn't bought for a club playing Champions league football with title aspirations. He was afforded time to grow in lower divisions with lower expectations and less pressure. He's had time to mature. You need to be buying players already at that level, not nurturing potential.

Aye I get that, and ideally I'd want the same - just go out and buy someone like Oblak. However, its not Klopp's style, he tends to buy youth and develop them, so we have to abide his decisions.

just loans mate. kenedy is reported as agreed. we wont buy unless we manage to sell shite like colback, saivet, diame etc. and with the takeover talks ongoing it's all a mess. possible buyers supposedly want to spend this jan prior to buying the club but want reimbursed for transfers with a relegation clause included b/c of the situation ashley has put us in. fat mike isn't having it allegedly. that's the current stumbling bock for the buyout. might get a striker if someone buys mitro and/or aarons.

It just goes to show you the facade of Ashley being a fan of the club if he's holding up the sale for the sake of 50 mill when he's already a billionaire. Putting you guys in jeopardy again with this procrastination.
