Bournemouth and Sevilla battling for the same player sounds bizarre, but we're both after Le Havre's young attacking midfielder Lys Mousset.
Because more attacking midfielders are exactly what we need

Edit update: French press reports he's in Bournemouth talking over the move and the SSN bloke who covers us confirms a solid bid.

That is absolutely horrific business from Leicester. He's not even worth 10!
He's easily worth 10m, I wanted him and Andros even before the rumours started. Got to admit 30m is a very very steep price, but I think he would be a perfect fit with Vardy.

Spending some time with Mr Stirling might have made Vardy think twice about a big money move. Why invite that pressure on yourself, if he starts of slow at Leicester the fans will still love him, do the same at a big club after a big move, their fans and media will be on his back saying what a waste of money. The only reason Wenger wanted him in the first place was because he was so cheap, not that he suited his style of play.

Watch them to take Mahrez and Kante off us now!
Kante will have offers form a host of big teams, the guy is a robot. City's best player by a mile, I can't remember another midfielder like him he is unique. Mahez like Payet not consistent enough.

Not really. Makelele broke into cold sweats if he crossed the halfway line. Kante is box to box. Mak was a 5th defender.

This. No way Makelele covered as much ground as Kante does, the man is a machine.

Fantastic news for Leicester, wasn't sure Vardy was the type of player Arsenal should be going for anyway so it's probably in the best interests of all concerned.

Wanyama has moved to Spurs. Good deal by Poch that.

Also, Puel is in the running for the Southampton job. I can see that being a success. He thrives and making the underdogs do well and is very good at developing youth products.

Seems like he's the front runner.

Mane to Liverpool for £30m beginning to pick up pace.

Fuck sake. I'm fed up Southampton being our feeder club and paying 40% more than we should do for their players.

Would say £30M for Mane is ridiculous but it's something that is going to be the norm for decent Premier League players now. He seems a bit too inconsistent for that kind of cash.

With 30m being banded around for Deeney and Mane currently, might sound mad but of the two I think I'd prefer Deeney! Not as naturally talented, but more effective and consistent. Both valuations are crazy though and it's probably a sign of things to come.

Glad Liverpool are after another striker, it means they might be willing to let Ings go and I think he would be a cheaper option than Deeney.

Mane isn't a striker.

How is he? He's not young, he didn't get 10 goals last season (I think) and I read a stat that 3 of his goals were either pens, and the rest against bottom 5 teams bar Stoke.

And Okazaki is perfect for Leicester.

Deeneys record isn't particularly good, I posted earlier in the thread. 13 goals, 7 of which are pens, the only side outside the bottom 5 that he scored against in open play was Stoke.

Then why are Liverpool buying him as a replacement for Benteke ?
Who said we are buying him as a "replacement." He will clearly play wide as it is his natural position. A position which we desperately need to improve on. I think Mane for 25 million is a very good business.

It will be ten mill more than that though which is too much. Always liked Mane but he is very inconsistent according to the Southampton fans though he is direct and talented. 20 mill I'd be fine with but it looks around 35 mill which for that price we can surely find better and cheaper around Europe.

Swansea apparently bid £8m for the Welsh Xavi/Pirlo and were rebuffed.

I'm not saying he is worth 30m only that his stats are far better than City's other strikers. Vardy is going to need a lot more support next year.

Sorry the Mirror !. I could point out that Henry was a wide player as well. The definition of striker is becoming a bit blurred for me. Is Lahaina a striker or are Vardy and Sturidge wide players ?.

I always felt he was wasted out wide with us. Much better when he was put as the CAM and given freedom.

Deeney was pretty quiet goal scoring wise but he played a deeper role setting up others like Ighalo and once the latter stopped scoring Troy was our main threat.

Quite saddened Liverpool seem keen on letting Mighty Joe Allen go, but if they are, in this current climate, he's worth a lot more than £8 mill even if the pound is going tits up like everything else.

imo 20 mil is the new 30-40 now. Bids of 30 mil is being rejected for the likes of Ighalo. 12 million for Michael Keane. Ridic but that is how it is now.
