I don't think Kinnear did anything wrong putting in a seven day notice for an out of contract player, but do agree, to set yourself up as the bastion of self righteousness is just asking for trouble, and he would be better served, as would the supporters, signing some players that would actually improve our team...or thinking about it players who would actually play in it.
I further believe, contrary to most Dover supporters, neither Raggett or Lincoln did anything wrong when he left us, for gods sake he was out of contract. I also can't understand why or boss is getting so upset with FGR. Yes it would be nicer if no-one said anything, but if any club makes an y bid for any player are they not entitled to at least tell people they have?

Nobody is saying 7 day approaches are wrong, but it's a common courtesy to call the manager you're taking a player from. That's where the problem lies.

Looking at the two clubs in question I ask myself why would a player choose Dover over Maidstone ? I would of thought Maidstone have a better chance of league football maybe not this year but seem to be more geared up + bigger fan base than Dover.

Hey, Dover fans can't seem to understand why their players would want to join Lincoln, don't get them started on Maidstone!

Has to go through the secretary, not the manager..........just saying!

Exactly. We've not talked to the player/agent without the clubs permission or made noises about rating him to the press, we've put in a bid, which we're perfectly entitled to do, as are Dover to reject it. Why should that be a secret? It's not like the player wouldn't already be aware of any interest.

Kinnear is making himself look silly by getting so wound up.

I know how it works, but as I said...not the point.

I have a fair amount of time for Dover, some of our most cordial neighbours, but between Healy, Parkinson, and Miller I'd say your PR people could do with sacking :P

Rumours on our forum that Danny Holmes is joining York from Fylde.
I can confirm that from our end too. he has left us today and have been told he will be joining York. weirdly we had him on a non contract basis which I think was odd on our behalf. but I wish him good luck and will be a great player and sadly missed by us.

As both of our keepers were injured against NFU we look poised to bring in Luke Coddington from Huddersfield on loan. He's 21 formerly of Middlesbrough and am ex England U19s international. No idea what he's like. Hopefully Jalal will make a speedy recovery , he's made a few mistakes lately but he's generally been very solid.

Taylor Miles is off out on loan for a month to get game time after his broken foot. Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up at a PT local Club such as Boston, so he can still train with us.

And we've ALREADY had international clearance. Keates pulling some strings at FIFA it would seem.

Rumours that we are to re sign defender Wes Harding from Birmingham that we had earlier in the season and he looked very impressive. He picked up a bad injury but I would certainly welcome him back.

I'm not convinced by the Wallace rumour. It seems to have come from the fact he was at the game yesterday and Micky took him to Shrewsbury. The guy has talent but in the physicality of this league one tackle could rule him out for the season.

Don't think Wallace would be a good signing, in the four years since leaving us, he's played 20 something games, some off the bench. Makes Adam Dawson look like Mr Reliable. He also made some very negative remarks about Rovers post-departure. However, we're looking thin in central midfield, with Steve Jennings recovering from an op and promising youngster Mitch Duggan farmed out on loan, so who knows.

Eastleigh looking at 2 new players - they rang up Paul Cox today asking his opinion on them - (that from Paul Cox's post match interview) one of the players was at Mansfield with him - striker Matt Green
