Ryan Yates likely to re-sign for us - cut short his loan because he got injured, but has recovered much earlier than expected. Paul Cox is big mates with Gary Brazil at Forest, which should count in our favour, with other clubs interested.

Also turned down a bid for Jordan Williams (apparently from Charlton), and Fylde have teased a signing announcement, which most people are saying will be Ross Hannah.

We do need a striker, we've only got three really. Of those one is out injured long term and another looks pretty low on confidence at the moment. Haven't heard of any more potential incomings mind you.

Margetts has gone to Crewe. Heard Theo is off to Millwall.

Yep, got told Milwall at the beginning of January. Was reluctant to leave due to location, which is why he rejected Southend before signing for us, but presumably been offered a bit more £ having actually rejected them in mid-January.

Bizarre on Radio Lincs' Facebook Live...they're commentating on Danny Cowley acting as go-between with Kevin Cooke (our MD) and Theo Robinson. Surreal watching contract negotiations go on pitchside...

Gist from DC is that Theo wants too much money and Danny doesn't want to break the wage structure for him as it will upset morale if he's on much more than others. It looks to me like Theo is on his way. A shame but apart from the Cup games, he's not really scored many.

All about keeping hold of players this month for us really. Confirmed this morning we rejected a 'substantial' offer for Hughes from a Championship club and a 'derisory' one for Alabi from a League 2 club.

Believed to be Barnsley and Barnet.

I can believe we were interested in Alabi as he fits the profile of players we've been signing and we are in need of a forward. I can see why we wouldn't bid a lot for a player that is still unproven and equally I can see why Chester would want a good offer before considering letting him go.

We were supposedly interested in Ashley Hemmings a while back. Doubt that's what this is about though.

And Sparrow's right for a change, we certainly wont be spendng money on transfer fees, budgets been cut quite significantly so any new signings will probably be loanees. Started with 4 last weekend, might be adding 1 or 2 more if we can, missed out on getting Jack Dunn on loan though who chose Tranmere over us.

Trying to fight moneybags like Lincoln and Tranmere for the title on a shoestring with half a team of loanees is going to be interesting. We're definitely the underdogs now.
