If that is to be believed he had an alright spell at Wrexham and then at Barrow. Goals in a Welsh league I mean come on?
Like I said he might be a good signing. He'd should be the amount your paying him.

I've got to say that I'm absolutely gutted for all the Grimsby fans will miss out on seeing Mr Quigley play at EP due to a slight amendment to the fixture date.

We moved the fixture after hearing Quigley's favourite song was I Don't Like Monday's by the Boomtown Rats.

We've said we'll be running at a loss, but looking at our signings it's not gonna be an astronomical one. We've signed ten players I think so far and haven't paid a fee so there'll be nothing like a 500k strike force at Blundell Park. I knew Stockport were Going For It™ but didn't quite realise how much so until today. Didn't realise Madden was 250k and is on 5K, that's insane!

Lets not forget we also already got 750k in fees this summer plus whatever we get for Grist and then still hoping for Dembele to be sold.

The Quigley runour won't go away. Someone is claiming he's having his medical with us tomorrow We shall see.

A rumour from the left field is Ollie Clarke, who appears to be under contract at Mansfield? I think this one may be completely made up

He’s under contract and was the captain last season, and probably should be playing in L1 to be honest.

I’ve never seen a player create so much traffic through posts in such a small amount of time on the football forum since the days of Rakish Bingham!
As I predicted in my Saturday drunken stupor.

I feel like I shouldn't be too critical of his reasons for leaving for Stockport (especially given it mentions the loss of a family member), but the "being closer to home" would have made a lot more sense had he joined Wrexham or Shrewsbury. He may be away from home for a decent chunk given the LAVISH hotels Stockport will be staying in prior to away games.
Quite a few of the lads live in the same apartment that Stott actually owns for I’m guessing reduced rents. Quigley could potentially move in there then go back to Shrewsbury on days off.

Yeah, I'm starting to think Dembele won't get sold this window. It's taking a while, but you never know. Got a feeling Grist will be any day now, I'm hoping the fact that it's not happened yet is because we're haggling.
given his avatar I think the monkey butler will be "Son of Cod"

I’d call 1 in 2 a very good spell at Wrexham. From what I’ve seen of him he offers more than just his goals as well.

Nothing is guaranteed but I can’t think of a better realistic signing for what we needed in that position.

Like the bank holiday monday when we should have been playing Grimsby.

When you have MASSIVE clubs like Stockport and Wrexham involved you can’t be surprised.

Does that not defeat the object of being closer to home? Surely you'd be wanting to go home every night if that was the case....

Just remembered Scott Quigley got sent off in the last away day we could do for trying to murder our goalkeeper. Terrible signing, £10k a week for an absolute thug.

We’re after Maguire-Drew would be a sound signing I think
Was on loan at Crawley from January (he's actually a Crawley boy, went to school across the road from our ground).Good player, good dead ball and that but seems a little slow across the ground at times.

Not unhappy he isn't staying but wouldn't have been unhappy if he had.

Weve been down here so long every single signing by other clubs is of a former player of ours.

JMD clearly has talent but hated it with us, being so far north (?). Southend seems a good fit for him, good quality but not consistent enough for the league . Wpuld be a decent signing for them tbf.

I haven't seen much of him since we had him on loan but he's had a couple of decent seasons. Before that he wasn't really doing a right lot.

He's 29 so that's a fair bit of time when he wasn't prolific.

Certain players click with certain clubs and they can never really replicate it elsewhere. Time will tell. He might be a great signing.

His only 'lean' spell in his career really has been at Halifax - at Blackpool and Port Vale he made a few sub appearances and that was about it.

He's not just about goals though - almost every set of fans from teams we faced last season said how they'd love a player like Quigley.

He misses too many easy chances for him to be much higher than League 2, but he'll turn games on their head and run a defence ragged if they're not totally on their game.

Stockport have a bargain for their £500k + add-ons.

Good luck Stockport, hope we can join you in League Two next season. I guess the one solace is that besides Stockport, no one is really building a seriously impressive team.
Are you forgetting the side we are putting together? Oh no that's right we have still signed zero players. I'm sure our current squad of 10 (with no keepers) will be fine though.
