We all know that big wages and the best players don't necessarily win the league. Luton struggled for years to get out of here despite being constantly the biggest team with the biggest gates. When you go shit or bust ala Crawley or Fleetwood then it's seem to come off but I still wouldn't like to risk it in a league with one automatic promotion place. I'm looking forward to actually having a good few new grounds to visit, the beauty of non league is that you get to go to some lovely places and mix with the locals like you usually wouldn't do at a football game.

Whilst its a great sentiment, I am guessing you haven't been to King's Lynn have you? Think it may be a bit of a culture shock so get back to us afterward your visit and talk about the 'beauty of non league' and mixing with the locals, we aren't all bad but...

This could be total and utter bollocks, but I’ve just seen a post saying Scott Boden is on trial with Notts County

County fans heard owt?

We’ve got some players on trial, but don’t know who. There’s two people in some of the videos the club’s put out that we don’t recognise, but they are definitely not Scott Boden!

We are in for a striker to cover Wootton, so it’s entirely plausible. His goals record is very good (funny how it works, it’s not far off Quigley’s!) and he’s presumably local, so he may fit into our strategy of looking for undervalued players as well.

do you play in the same ground the old King's Lynn club played at?

Christ you seem TRIGGERED just by what a few of our fans think.
and here was me thinking that it was a 'few' of your fans who seemed to have been triggered but it's all a matter of opinion I suppose.

Indeed they don't but it doesn't half help. After a decade or so of being financially outgunned by the likes of Fylde, Salford and North Ferriby !!! I think I'll enjoy being on millionaire's row for a good while yet.

We tried to bring Anthony Pilkington back to the club but he decided to sign for Fleetwood.

Aaron Nemane from Torquay seems a possibility for us.
He's a cracking player, bizarrely he's a bit like Ngolo Kante playing on the wing. He's under 24 though so you'll need to pay us something for him.

We’ll pay ££ but not in a Stockport way, only for players we think we can develop and sell on. Could he be turned into a wing back? Struggling to see how he fits in otherwise.

Think it goes to a tribunal if we can't agree a fee, based on how much development work we put in? He's only been here 18 months so it won't be a huge amount.

A wing back? Definitely. His defensive qualities are almost as good as his attacking ones, he even played in defensive midfield for us at one point due to our injuries.

Don't let him near the gym though, he was on the verge of fitness after his hamstring tear only to somehow break his leg in a "gym accident" and miss the rest of the season!

Could he do central midfield? He sounds the most interesting of this summer's rumour mill and actual signings.
We're crying out for athleticism in midfield.

A week goes by and no signings. Its exciting this being bankrolled business.

Depends what you're after. He's not going to come up with defense splitting passes but if it's energy and athleticism you're after he got that in spades.

He's the one player I'm really disappointed to lose this summer as he has so much potential which we were really starting to see before he joined the rest of the squad in the treatment room.

that's exactly what we need. Have you lost him or is it just rumours?

We offered him a new contract and he had 28 days to decide, that was (by my own calculations from when we released our retained list) 23 days ago. Still the vague possibility that he won't get an offer more to his liking but it's looking unlikely.

We start pre-season training on Monday so I guess we'll know either way then, if not before.

I don't know why you're struggling so hard with this. We've had our only daytime away day up north until Boxing Day taken off us for a bullshit reason. Of course we're not happy about it.

Looks like Kyle Bennett is another one of our trialists. Was a top League One player not that long ago and only 30, but can’t imagine his 13 game spell with Grimsby last season was particularly successful.

Ain’t he a winger if I remember rightly though?

More of a playmaker/attacking midfielder I think? Can never have enough of those, obviously. 5-4 every week.

Would fit our style then! Doyle will know of him from his Portsmouth days, so makes sense this one.

Not a bad player -- But I would imagine he will have to take a cut in wages.

You imagine correctly, another player that came with high hopes only to be crap, plenty of them last season though
