This section is transfer rumours, this is a rumour, so I posted it.
Strangely, I'm not embarassed, as this is a forum full of people I do not know. :D :D
Well said. Blast from the past, long time no see, how's it going?

Doesn't seem that long ago we was season ticketing it in League One and the Championship.

Got a season ticket this year, had one last year, funnily enough more or less in the seats we had back then lol.

Just read on Deva Chat that Anthony Malbon, ex-Kiddie is trialing with Macc. Any truth Macc fans?

Not heard it either but wouldn't mind taking a punt on him assuming he's fit. He wouldn't be on much at all and under JA could prove a very useful player once again at this level.

Hi buddy, yeah ive fallen off the radar a bit since i got married and had kids!
You still bowl overarm at the bowling alley and run in circles around pubs (Schuberts) or have you calmed down now you've hit 40 lol?
I take my lad to most games now, mainly in the Main Stand as we go with my cousins but for Barnet game and Eastleigh Semi took him in the Ponny and he loved it, so next season probably take him there most games.
Does your dad still bike to games and sit on the front of the Lower Smiths?
Thats devotion for you eh!
UTM :) :)

Not been bowling for a few years now, haha I've calmed down abit now. I did go out to watch the game when we played Eastleigh away, Thursday night ended up home about 6am lol, but other than that not been out since last August, I just save up now.

Hehe nice one, a few of my cousin take their kids in the main stand, I've already got my season ticket, but I'm thinking of switching to the upper smiths, I'll try it out on Saturday for the freindly with Derby County - only part of the ground never watched a game.

Nah he stopped going 3 year ago, got pneumonia and never been right since, funnily enough a few month ago I found him in a clip from the early 1950's! Not sure who Grimsby Town was playing though - could be Bristol Rovers, just over the hour mark lol

Adam Dawson played for Barrow on Saturday, but yeah, the Twitter post looks like he says he's not on trial. Could be that he's playing while contract is being hammered out?
Also had Luke Dawson, a left back who I think may have played for Carlisle and Nuneaton.
Matt Young also played - another from Carlisle, and ex-Southampton and Sheff Wed.

Looking at all that, still looks like we'll need a striker, a winger and maybe another defender.

Very confusing re: Adam Dawson, great player at Conference level albeit with a few off days (which winger doesn't have them?) We'll see what unravels.

We've just played a team full of trialists in our first friendly tonight - a 9-0 win at a local side.

Exodus Geohaghon is one of them - set to sign this week apparently. No surprise, but I imagine he's taken a huge pay cut since his Mansfield days if he is joining.

Torquay trialists today:

Ashley Yeoman, who has been here for about 8 years but hardly ever started. He keeps doing just enough to be kept on, but never enough to play regularly. He scored 5 tonight as we won 9-0. Would be typical to get offered yet another one year deal then never play.

Shepherd Murombedzi, former Reading winger - scored three.

Jide Maduako, defender, formerly of Ipswich Town and Leicester City, scored the other. Played for Chelmsford City in Conference South last season.

Exodus Geohaghon, 30, was at Nuneaton Town last season. Played under Cox before.

Jamie Richards, former Plymouth Argyle youngster had a steady game at left-back.

Jim Fenlon, right back, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Hayes and Yeading United last term.

"The Torquay number eight, known only as Hutchinson, suffered a nasty facial injury"

Jack Nardiello, a former Stoke City striker, who ended the season at Nuneaton Town.

James Alabi, a 20-year-old striker, out of contract after being released by Stoke City in May. Also had loan spells at Scunthorpe United, Mansfield Town, Forest Green Rovers and Accrington Stanley. He underwent a trial at Dutch side De Graafschap in January, but returned to Stoke and was released at the end of last season.

I thought Geohaghon had packed in trying to be a footballer years ago. Long throw, yes, but no footballing ability.

Hutchinson might be Ben Hutchinson? Was at Mansfield for 2 or 3 years under Cox.

Poor Maduako played a pre-season game for us on trial a couple of years back in a 5-3 defeat to Yeovil. Had a nightmare, gifted them an early goal, scored an awful og and nearly scored another one before being subbed off. One of the worst performances I've seen from a triallist in quite a while, other then some American lad who didn't know how to take throw-ins.

Alabi was Pennock's first signing, on loan from Stoke. He's got good physical attributes and is pretty quick, but was a bit raw and lacked an end product. Might have matured and improved now though.

Apparently Eastleigh made an approach for Andy Drury recently, although the player wasn't overly interested per John Still. We do want rid of him though.

He'll be on an absolute fortune though. He's been on huge wages for years now and we spunked £100k on him last summer, he was our marquee signing and would almost certainly have been our highest paid player (until this summer anyway). It'll take a lot of "vision" to get him to drop down to this level again.

Adam Dawson apparently off to Central Coast Mariners according to news down under. Not quite Barrow.

looks like he's keeping his options open - a twitter account linked to his has this on it...

"Cherrelle Marie wrote:Conference clubs offer bigger player wages than the league is crazy. Hard #decisions for players when they pay so much! #wages or #league?"

That's his bird. He followed me on Twitter for all of last season for some reason. Wank for us on loan.

Interesting...surely he wouldn't sign for a small village club like Eastleigh FC..

So you didn't think Ross Lafayette from Luton Town was "massive"?

No. James Constable last year and a league 2 no hoper this year. It's almost as if your owner is bored and focussing on his stake in another club...

He played a grand total of 322 minutes for us last season, scoring 0 goals. Even Ricky Miller was more of a first team player.

Well he's got plenty of history with tinpot nothing teams, having played for both Stevenage and Crawley in his time.

He was pretty terrible last year and we now want rid, I'm sure he will want to avoid dropping back down to the Conference if he can but I'm not sure how many options he will have ultimately. Throw enough cash at him and he might change his mind, although he is probably on about £3k per week here I reckon.
