point still stands

3 clubs north of London all punished 1 inside London the biggest culprits, still in business , now i'm aware they can sell Austin etc to raise cash, but what about 2 years ago, has that been forgotten now?

If I were to place a bet it would be exactly that, fancy you 8th-10th if I had to stick my neck out so perhaps we aren't so far apart in our opinions. So I'll politely decline. You do need more than you've got now for top 6 though IMO.
Fair enough, though your post that started this off did say we wouldn't have enough to trouble anywhere near the Top 6 :p

I imagine you and us will finish within a couple of places of each other.

nope, they broke FFP 2 years ago, FL seems to just pick and choose who get's punished
I was more joking about the fact no action will be taken due to them having been a premier league team recently, however look at the mail piece I just linked.

Shot your load now City fans.

You'll be held to ransom for any other striker targets now clubs know you have 6mil to play with.

So we probably won't sign anyone else permanently for now, expect just loan signings. Could see us trying to get Frazier Campbell on loan.

fuck the fine, where's the embargo like the other clubs? that fine is nothing to them, building another good squad to chase promotion shouldn't be allowed this time around

It is a ticking time bomb. Because we are appealing, they cannot do anything. If they gave us an embargo, and it turned out we are okay then the Football League would get sued.

Where they have changed the rules, we are saying that it clearly wasnt sustainable and the goal posts were moved. That is my basic understanding of it, but either way someone will sue the Football League. Either us or other teams that have been fined/embargoed.

There has been over 150 posts about Dwight fucking Gayle today and they haven't even signed him yet! :hb:
Is it worth reading or not? Am guessing not.

Elsewhere, we're seemingly about to sign SC Paderborn's captain, Uwe Hunemeier, for £1.4m. 29-year-old centre half - just hoping it's in addition to Dunk rather than a replacement for him. Local rag claiming it IS in addition, which is just as well as we only have two senior central defenders as things stand. Remains to be seen on Dunk, though.

Just need a couple of wingers and possibly a striker with a modicum of pace and the squad will be looking much healthier.

Any Reading fans? Seems Paolo Hurtado is off to Reading.
Yep, been rumoured for a few weeks. Supposedly we're hoping to get his work permit sorted this week. Anything you can say about him?

Also as rumoured yesterday, we've released Hope Akpan so he could join Blackburn on a free.

Nah mate wouldn't bother.

Also out of curiosity how much do would you rate Lua Lua at, or is he not for sale? Always rated him and were in need of a decent wide man.

Only ever seen him for Peru to be honest, and he's been good in the times I've saw him but he's not a starter so I can't comment 100% on him.

My only real concern with Hurtado is that Peruvian players have trouble adapting to countries like England. Benavente isn't a problem because he's actually Spanish but a player who is ACTUALLY Peruvian may be a problem. If he can get past that, I'm sure he'll be a good player for you.

I can't imagine we'd be looking to sell him, certainly not at this stage with the club having been trying (and failing) to strengthen in the wide areas all summer - he's all we have in terms of a semi-proven Championship winger.

That said, it's about time he really kicked on and started to deliver on a more consistent basis, as although his highlights reel is an impressive one, he's been used mostly as an impact player off the bench in his 5 or so years with us and doesn't seem to have developed the footballing awareness or crossing technique that would help take him to the next level. He is what he is, a speed merchant with a powerful shot but frustratingly erratic end-product. Couldn't imagine seeing him in another club's shirt though!

They're also still reporting that Burnley have had a bid accepted for Lansbury. Or at least they were a couple of hours ago.
